My channel focuses on two main bikes and cars, riding, driving, repairing, modifying, fabricating, with the focus on the main project which is a Nissan Engined Mini. I aim to upload following each significant part of the rebuild process showing the steps in creating a clone of my car, or applying my of the principles in producing something similar.

Not a 5 star at all worst hotel ever if you dont tip you dont get a service
I am here again, and I can assure you the service is impeccable
We stayed for a week food in main hall was bland no taste waiters only come up to your table if you tip them the sand on the beach is not proper sand and just rocks so much much definitely not a 5 star there's shouldn't be huge tipping culture at a 5 start hotel
@@user-xr7je3rh1zwe have found the food at all restaurants to be very good, the sand admittedly is gritty but comparison to parts of the carribean or parts of Cornwall, but if you choose one of those two it’s either much further, much more expensive or both, you choose

Hi, Can you please elaborate on the strait swap of the K12 to K11 injectors?
There are literally a one for one replacement, the same fittings and same connector, the K22 injector offer a much better spray pattern
@@davidlee4966 Ah in this case the CGA3DE has the same injector shape as the later models, different from the older cg13deand cg10de models. Got it.
Lovely video David. Thank you for sharing. I am considering trying to video some of my next tour, May 2024 and am very interested in the equipment that you used and how you mounted it for the road shots. You did a nice job of illustrating the paths. Did you use helmet mounted GoPro or DJI (or mobile) or did you use chest or handlebar mount. I was considering using a helmet mount. Any advice from your experience? Thanks.
For the Spain, France, UK trip I predominately used my Go Pro Helmet mounted either facing forward or backwards, for subsequent trips I made a hand held mount just to get different camera angles and an opportunity to do a vlog whilst riding.

The video was done before 7:30am, so most people we still getting themselves together, it was generally quiet though, I think late Nov is off peak, xmas being busy then tailing off again, Until spring time.

Wider lap and higher lift cams are essential for making high end power, the rally cams should make peak power at around 7500rpm
That is a wonderful video the Hotel at Sharm El Sheikh is like a palace and so many sporting facilities at Sharm El Sheikh to! Good underwater shots to with the reefs! 👍
What have you done for higher compression?
Chester was great in the 1980s, it's gone downhill now, you don't feel safe out a night, people with knives. Some of those photos were taken late 90s and early 2000s

Is k11 Nissan same specifications torque for head gasket with micra 2008 model?
the 2008 model or K12 is a different engine so you will need to check the workshop manual to be sure

What happened to the rest of the build?
Our Chester student nurses set used to club ' a lot' 1984-88. Blimpers, Cinderella Rockafellas, Rendezvous, and great to see the fliers in this video but mostly High Society nightclub that doesn't appear. Anyone have more links to share?
It was great time to be in Chester, Rendezvous was the place to be, also used to frequent the wine bars on Lower Bridge St, now sadly gone!

Its been slow up until recently, just got back into it, recommissioning the chassis electrics, just about to start the ECU programming etc, so will do another youtube video soon, can't wait to finish it to start a new project

Still in work, too many projects and hobbies (dare I get in boating) tbe current being the prep for a dedicated garage for the mini once complete, thanks for the prompt to get another mini video done
Nice one David , i am starting out 28th June , over to Holland on ferry , then train to Basel , going to do the lower Rhine area to lake Constance , into Switzerland for a few days , train up to Passau from Zurich , do the Danube to Bratislava, then a train to Trieste , do the Parenzana trail , Istria , visit Pula and on to Rijeka , ferry to Rab island , and then onto Zadar and coast route to Split Dubrovnik, back on ferries to Split , night train to Zagreb , train back to Vienna , Hannover, Amsterdam , ferry home , cant do flights as have a duel battery touring e-bike !

Great video! Are those forged internals?
All internals are stock, apart from the cams, it’s a strong engine with a max rpm of about 7800, I have been assured that a lot of auto grass cars run them to 10000rpm on a regular basis!

Not got to that bit yet, but I see no reason why it should be an issue.

Brilliant video sir! Could I ask though would you ever consider doing these kind of projects for customers? I'm researching everything I can about k11s for maintenance and to be able to modify for performance and efficiency, I bet there would be plenty of members from the micra mafia that'd love to be able to buy a ready made 130-140ishbhp engine to be able to slap straight into a k11 chassis, even my little 1.0 50 something bhp micra is a little go kart on tight B roads but people I know have turbod supercharged these nissan engines or just straight swapped for something more beefy, but one bloke made a sleeper with basically this exact engine except it was no way near as clean but 0-60 5.7 seconds and could go past 130mph, that's the type of performance I'd love in my little go kart 😂
I turbo'd my cga3de, and it makes 142bhp on a stock engine!
So are you putting the k12 injectors into the k11 fuel rail or using gsxr600 injectors?
Also, what does your fuel system look like on this set up?
I have used k12 injectors there are a straight swap
I’d love to put one of these in a small hot rod, like a Ford Anglia, Model Y, Morris Minor, Austin A35, MG Midget, Farina A40 or Austin 7. If you can bolt it up to a Miata or Borg-Warner T5/ Tremec or Ford Type 9 transmission, I’d use it.

All has stagnated recently due to other projects that I could get on with during the lockdowns. I am just about to finish off the mini after taking some inspiration at the mini day at Castle Combe held over the weekend
