How To Build A 10k RUclips Channel While Working Full Time
Hey why do you recommend creating a master file
Because files get lost, deleted, etc and it makes life easier to have a master file whenever you need to create deliverables. Think of it like your birth certificate. You can make copies, but you need the original at times.
Hey Alex Please reply to this! But you know how the RUclips account named @paramountplus well they have a Tab on there account called Movies and they have a Shows Tab and A Events Tab how do u get the Movies tab Shows Tab & Events? Can you make a video on that?
Hello love your video how long after Amazon license your movie will it be available on prime to watch on tv
Until you take it off
@ sorry I meant after they accept the movie on there platform how long will it roughly be until they put it on tv
@@lukemayers9891 It depends. Can be 2-10 weeks
What software did you use for editing? Your video was one of the best I've seen. Thanks
Thanks! I use premiere pro
Thank you, this was helpful.
Sincerely, thank you. I love everything you’ve said, and this is very good advice to pick from. My love language is film. I’m only 18 years old, but I want to start now. I currently have no experience with film making aside from a few mid to mediocre RUclips videos on two different channels, but my dream/goal is to become a Hollywood director, actor, voice actor, and song writer. I know that’s a crap ton of stuff, but I only have one life and I figured why not go for it? Like you said: choose your hard. I have almost no experience to my name but I’m about to buy a Sony cinema camera and some good audio equipment with lav mics. I’m just a bit confused on where to start, because I’ll be going to college for a film degree, but I also want to start making short films on RUclips and build a channel audience. I’ve heard that helps too. The hope being that I can use those things to get noticed in the ranks working up to Hollywood. What’s the best path to get there in your opinion? Should I work on short films until I can enter into a festival? Can I get noticed though there? I also don’t want to be a sellout though. I want to make good movies that I enjoy, not please a demographic. Or should I take the Actor/Voice actor route first? Would it be easier to break out through acting, and then work on being a film maker? I want to do it all at some point. Sorry for the long winded comment, just very curious to know what you think since I’m starting from 0. Thanks again for the video.
Choose the route that sounds the most appealing to you. Don't worry about being a "sell out." Don't worry about making it. No route is easy. No answer is correct. At 18, I also started from zero. I made short films and go on as many sets as I could. If Hollywood is your route, go to Hollywood. If just making stuff is your route, then just make stuff.
Watch my interview with Madison Willow. She moved out to LA at 17.
Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it.
How do I resolve duplicate frames issues?
You need to cut them out yourself or use third party software to assist you
Hi Alex! Do you film in 60 fps when vlogging?
I don't personally, but you can. This was shot in 30fps
hi I noticed your film is also on Apple TV.. do you have a tutorial on how to do this also! Your Amazon Direct Video Tutorials are great. I am just wait to see if I am approved!
You need to use a service like Filmhub for that, which I do have tutorials.
Thank you for this. One of the best if not the best tutorial videos I have ever seen. Answered all my questions and more
Thanks a lot!
I've had one since they released and for the amount of money it costs I don't think it can be beat. I filmed a large portion of my short film on it and was told how great the footage looked.
fot lowlight condition did you turn on the low light capabilities or just using normal and set to max iso range?
I shot as is, but the low light feature isn’t bad. You definitely get noise, but it’s half way decent.
@@alexsrednoselac niceee
From my experience there really isn't much difference between normal and low light mode. It won't magically give you substantially less noise, so I'd just keep it at normal but make sure to record in D-Log or HLG (depending on what you like).
@@ilyamiskov only one this that i observe while using low light we can only use 30fps
Hey Alex, should a Start and End Date be entered in the Avails on Filmhub or does it not really matter. TIA!
It's only necessary if the rights are not available until a certain start date and if you have an end date. If you are not working with anyone else you can leave them blank.
Hey Alex, should a start and end date be entered for Avails on Filmhub or does it not really matter. TIA!
I don't know why people keep thinking film school students charge minimum wage or work for free, while schools in an effort to make their students believe their exorbitant tuition is a precursor to making good money in the industry, encourage their students to charge fair market rates, to the point that some schools have set up offices that broker such collaborations at market rate or not far from it, for their students who will then use your production as their training ground...
This is definitely a big issue and why I typically advise against it.
They do not accept rev anymore, used to work well a year ago.
They 100% accept rev. If they are not taking it you are doing something wrong. Rev isn't a format.
@ I used rev on 7 features in the past. Lately they don’t meet FilmHub requirements anymore. On last two films I got qc fail. Be careful.
Having something so small yet capable of these awesome shots...very convenient. I was sick of vlogging with my phone when we're doing out and about videos, I ended up getting a GoPro but this is great too.
I highly recommend it. You guys can test it out if you ever want to.
Thank you for your review its help full

@alexsrednoselac i can not submit my film, so how to solve this title issue?
Right but you didn't post an error, so I don't know how to solve the error if I don't know what it is. You listed "Please review the following errors" but didn't list the errors.
i have a tv show im working on putting on film hub is there anyway i could contact you and you could guide me through it? i have 7 episodes and trailers for all

@@alexsrednoselac its a guide for a movie not tv series that made. quick question brother....how long should a trailer upload be?
@@outthecutttv It's going to be a similar process. A trailer needs to be at least 2 minutes I believe
@@alexsrednoselac thank god I got u because I feel stuck a little bit bro. This my first film
Feel free to email me any questions and I’ll answer if I can
great advices if I can add one more is do your art with what you got, especially at the beginning. Creation is telling story and I think it's a reminiscence of our situation, sometimes by affording the more we lose ourself and it can be frustating. As you said, by creating with "less" we become more efficient and get a better understanding on how control to the project and the team. And management is also more comprehensible as we're already finding tricks to make our project with our own tools.
Great tip

Amazing content. To the point with no cheddar! Thank you. Quick question. Who does the translations, subtitles, and captions if you film is accepted to stream in other languages?
Thanks! You would still have to do this yourself. It is a service that something like Rev offers.
Hey Alex I'm getting a popup when I try to save: invalid data invalid cue: 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:00,041 at cue1. It won't let me save. What am I doing wrong?
Where is this error?
@@alexsrednoselac First, thanks for your quick response. It pops up after I hit save progress on the video tab in filmhub. I have loaded my video and now trying to load captions srt file. I created captions in Rav, edited and downloaded them in Davinci. I keep getting this popup that won't let me save.
@@tonyrankins5410 This might be a little too technical for me, so I don't entirely know. You might want to try exporting your captions again. Could be a timing or a frame rate issue. Your next best option would be to contact FH and see what they say.
Good speech. Experience is live. I am considered myself and artist so i make films to enjoy de process and tell a story. Thats all. All you do with peace and love always be a good experience to learn and make sense the fact to be a fillmmaker. Thanks and good an best for you.
Epic vid! Spot on! Here are my additions: 1. Audio is as important as video, but what separates the men from the boys is the usage of lights and depth of field. Get a lens that's f2 or smaller, and open up that iris on your CUs and MIDs. At the very least, use a bright backlight to seperate the subject from the background, and have at least one light, less bright than the backlight, to fill in the front and/or sides. Those weenie 50mm f1.8 lenses from Canon and the like can make a huge difference on set. OPEN THAT IRIS ON CUs and MIDs!!! 2. You're on a 10-20 year path. All of the film greats had a decade+ of experience making 8mm films and whatnot, with little exception. Quentin made a pretty terrible B&W movie that was never completed, and that was his film school - again, it took him 3 years! Nolan, Spielberg and Abrahms were shooting on 8mm when they were pre-teen. 3. Show up on set prepped, and ready to SPRINT to get through the shoot! 4. The more actors on set at the same time, the more exponential the difficulty. Since everyone communicates remotely, you can shoot actors individually at different locations talking on cell phones, computers, etc. I'm on my second feature. My first was a microbudget Kung Fu movie that got into 20+ countries. Spent $70K and it took 3 years to finish. My new feature is a 2-hour SciFi/Action flick with 500+ VX shots, 60+ actors and 90+ shoot days - I lost count! Post is 95% complete, and I have 2-3 tiny little shoots.... AND I'M DONE!!! To Elex's credibility, I have put over 5,000 hours into this project. We're punching light years beyond our weight at our current budget.
All great tips! Congrats on your film!
Hi
'live off your films? as you should. You're quite talented. Gifted. Only saw one film, so far---but intend to see others. Keep Rollin' strong, young fella. Solid...
Hi Alex, and thanks for all the insights you provide on a topic that's really 'hidden' from most filmmakers. At least here in Italy, I can't find anyone who explains these things, and your channel has been a real resource. We've started uploading our web series on FilmHub, with 6 episodes ranging between 3-5 minutes each. We're not at the quality control stage yet, but from your videos, we've already gathered that platforms like Amazon Prime don’t accept content of this length. Do you think there are any networks on FilmHub that would accept this type of format? Thanks!
Filmhub took a month to get back to me. 7 months of be unverified and earnings not calculated.
I want to raise serious concerns about Filmhub's current practices. Their website has been down, and I've noticed they are posting outdated information regarding performance metrics. I've been trying to track my movie views and ad impressions, but the lack of transparency about performance is alarming. Do not be misled by the hype; J. Horton seems to act as their spokesperson, but the reality is that their platform doesn’t provide a complete picture of performance. I am in the process of creating a video to expose these issues. Additionally, I urge you to be cautious when questioning Filmhub about discrepancies. They have a troubling habit of removing movies from their platform if you challenge their claims. Stay informed and be wary of relying on them.
I'm thinking of submitting to Indie-Rights. We have a business bank account and an LLC. Do we still need our LLC at this point if we're no longer making the film? Thanks for your great videos.
You run a massive risk not having a LLC throughout the lifetime of the film. If you get sued, you can lose all of your personal assets. It's great you had it during production, but it's more important to have it during the release.
@@alexsrednoselac Thanks for this reply. What would be a 'lifetime' of a film typically? (we're only talking streamers) Thanks again.
@@richardkilroy3248 Hard to say. I suppose as long as you want it to be.
Excellent information. Thank you
Do they let you upload animated series?
Yes
Tired of Amazon’s problems with sellers? Ditchit offers a way better experience-clear, honest, and reliable! 🙌
Most producers I’ve spoken with have had a horrible time with traditional indie distributors and sales agent. My own experience was horrible with an action film that I got into 20+ countries.
I hear you
Do you do marketing for your films? If so, how? Thanks!!!
Little too much to explain over a comment. I need to do a video eventually, but if you are a no budget filmmaker you need to find what makes your film unique. That could be you too. Use the social media platforms where your audience is. Paid ads. It really just depends.
