Marlin Roof Coatings Product Review
Nothing said about repair 👎
Flashing won't last
how long to dry and be rain proof?
Can this work on bare wood ?
I want it
This couldn’t be said much better.Get up on your roof periodically & catch a soft spot before it spreads & costs you thousands or possibly the life of your RV.This past weekend I found a spot that I thought was about the size of my hand.By the end of pulling back the membrane & cutting out the soft spot back to good wood it was basically between 2 joists.Good thing I caught it before it rooted anything under it or the joists. One small pin hole in the membrane & the water pooling in one area will eventually lead to a disaster.Check out your roof a couple of times a year or more depending on if your under or near trees & especially after bad storms.$20 tube of Dicor or some tape or thousands?Your choice.
The background music doesn’t help I wish I can listen to you just explaining more knowledge about care of the roofs. Thanks for sharing.
Ok so I've scrubbed my roof twice with rubber roof RV cleaner applied the flashing. It has set for several hours and I checked on it and it will literally peel off in a sheet of rubber. It did not stick to the roof or the lap sealant whatsoever. What did I do wrong and what do I do now?
I called you guys, im interested in your silicone roof coating for a 5v metal roof 22x20. The metal roof screws with the rubber washers are all installed. The grade of the roof is 2/12 pitch. Do I need to do any seam work with tape or does the roof coating suffice completely on its own? What about any surface corrosion where the metal is not penetrated and is structurally intact?
Thank you for showing this! What is the unloaded weight of this particular unit you showed?
Hi. After reviewing many brands i would say : 1st place is Spray with 2 part A & B. 2nd Marlin 3rd henry 887
I use this on my RV trailer and it ate my roof liner. Some kind of chemical reaction now I have to replace my whole roof
Never heard of that? We have installed many and never had any form of negative reaction.
Why did you have to go so fast ? You didn't even explain what you were measuring .
what was the dry time for the Silicone Topcoat??
How many gallons for 1 coat on 43ft 5th wheel? Thanks
I would suggest approx. 5 gallons.
@@62Salesthank you
Thank you for the information and the review. One comment though - I'm trying to listen to your commentary and it is either drowned out by the music you inserted into the video or distracts completely. Please don't add music when you're making your commentary in the edit. Thanks!
Would you guys be able to tell me the brand of RV sofa that was used in the video we are looking for one and we liked the flip down cup holders. Great video
How did you apply the coating on the rounded sides of the roof? Is it thick enough that it doesn’t run down the sides of the RV? Also, is the flashing necessary? Could I just use the roof coating around the AC units etc.? Thanks in advance for your quick response. I’m about to get started on mine in a couple of days.
It's thick enough that you can put two light coats over the sides and it won't run. You just have to be careful. Yes, we always suggest that you utilize flashing on all seams before the top coat.
@@sethstewart8455 Thanks!
How do you seal a new vent after putting down silicone if dicor won't work?
Is this still available?
Flashing grade Works on a mobilehome roof mounted evaporative "swamp" cooler. No More Leaks.
I turn Kombi into foodtruck trailers
I live in Brazil and my dream is to manufacture such a unit.
Parte 3 parte 4 srsese Congratulations from Brasil
Brasil 👏👏👏👏👏
👏👏👏👏👏👏
How long do I have to wait between coats ?. I feel better with two coats and I'm doing my bus roof that has a radias on the sides of corse
Hi Jim! If you're going to apply to coats, we recommend a full cure on the first. This will avoid you pulling the sarface layer skin back when applying the second coat.
@@62Sales Thank you so in let’s say 65 degrees Fahrenheit how long would full cure be ?.
@@jimmiller4951 unit its no longer tacky. I would give it a few hours. Rally going to vary depending on thickness, humidity, and temperature.
do what what jackknife sofa that is i have the same issue with that wheel well i want to take out my dinette but not sure what fits
We had to work around the wheel well on this camper but it turned out looking great! Take some measurements and cross reference them with the measurements from the vendor of the sofa!
