    Ds3 is way too overrated, there is no “hard” bosses in the game, all you need is pure p”dmg boost. Every single boss will lay down easily if you have enough dmg. You don’t need tactics, don’t need perfectly remember their move set, that’s such a basics that you don’t pay attention to this. All you need is dmg. Boring setting, boring uninspiring locations, annoying silly hollows. BS shortly. Funny tho no one can come even close this lvl of “quality”, which makes me laugh.

    Great Video, you are absolutely right in the fact that no amount of tips can make it easy for you, no OP weapons or tools, the most helpful tips i got is against Midir (hit the head + Dodge the flames to the left). Anything else rests on your resolve and mental endurance like Nameless Kind which required me to keep my focus 100% the entire fight, any mistake or a simple drop in focus is punishable, when i beat him i could’t believe its over. Simply put l, in DS3 no one can help you, you just have to Git Gud!!!

    Art: an act or object designed to envoke a thought or feeling. There you go. Job done. Sometimes, the art isn't the creation itself, but in the act of playing it, regardless of the method of play chosen. Where Dark Souls extends beyond that is the visual, the story, its depth and ambiguity, and the goal of the challenge.

    Namless King is weak to dark... First time i died at least 10 times when using pure phis build. After 8 years ,today, i tried out a dark claymore build, and he died first try. I even had 6 estus lol. First phase is ez, hit dragon head. Second phase, circle around him, and he will misses a lot of attack. Midir is worse.

    15:43 I don’t understand how you can Platinum this game at the 60 hour mark. I gotta look at the trophies. You have to get all the endings right? Idk. The only game I ever Platinumed in my life was Sekiro. I’m actually proud of it 😂

    14:12 I was 30 plus hours into Horizon Forbidden West and decided to maybe just try Elden Ring to see what it looks like. Just for a minute because I need to stick to one game at a time. Well that backfired because I forgot all about Forbidden West. 200 plus hours later I returned but the difference was clear. Elden Ring, BOTW had the key to what an open world game should be. Guidance without directly showing you what to do. And world design so good you knew where to go and what to do. “What’s that over there?” “That looks interesting.” I was hooked.

    you spent half this video explaining why non souls games are trash. yeah everyone knows that. and it took you until horizons ending credits to realizes its dog shlt? damn dude you have a really unique perspective. thats kewl. i knew it sucked when the dev showed the protagonist. you cant trust incompetent people. but yeah, dark souls is awesome. cool story, thanks for sharing. pro tips: get a pop filter. also fade out clips so they dont pop at the end. nice work.

    This is a high quality product made with passion that has been blessed by a faithful souls lover. I keep coming back to watch the 'I have to focus' part. It reminds me... everything? People's evergrowing laziness, the Uncle Iroh's humility, shame and pride quote, Ippo's resilience to get back up every time even tho he is brutally beaten, humanity's growing weakness that makes us run away from the truths and ignore our ignorance instead of acknowledging truths and trying to be better. That part... is just perfect.

    Before I watch. Agree! This was my first FromSoftware game other than armoured core on PS2 which I hardly played and barely remember anyway... This game really did change my life and was a completely different pace to what I had become accustomed to which was competitive online games. I played this game during a very quiet time in my life and OMG WOWOWOW it was so amazing. I struggled and struggled but I just wanted to beat to boss to see more. My first playthrough took my 110 hours... I would kill every single enemy even when dying to bosses lol I would try to not get hit so I'd have all my estus for the boss. I don't think I could ever explain the reward I felt when I beat this game and it's bosses and the whole theme just wrapped it up perfectly. It's not for everyone but for anyone willing to give it a solid try I promise you won't regret it. Also for extra icing I would recommend Vaatividya for his lore videos. Edit: Just finished the beautiful essay. This must have have taken you a long time to write lol and I agree you said a lot of what I couldn't put into words. I was smiling so much. Awesome video!

    First, the conclusion to your video essay was masterful. We had a nearly identical experience, minus elden ring as I played ds3 quite a few years before it came out. I tried bloodborne first and had the same reaction you did. I tried ds3 and rage quit after lothric castle. About a month later I came back, determined to at least beat the game whether I liked it or not. Started a new playthrough and I eventually did beat it. The Nameless King was also a boss I struggled on. The other two major bosses were Gale and Midir. Each of them taught me a core lesson. You explained the experience and change you go through while playing very well. At the time it wasn't tangible to me. One day the game clicked and I went from struggling to having fun and succeeding. I think that's what the git gud meme really means. I then finished bloodborne, ds1 and ds2. I've beating the games multiple times, dark souls literally ruined gaming for me. Every other experience I've had pales in comparison. Thank you for the great content. I'm glad people are continuing to be inspired by these master pieces. DS3 remains my favorite.

    "Doesn't inspire change, it requires it. " I like how that was said with the Lord of Cinders fight in the background, a fight that itself is changes each time. The boss will randomly have different arche types and move sets at different phases, so the fight itself is different every time.

  • @TheJadeFist
    @TheJadeFist 8 дней назад

    Honestly this is kinda funny cause, I don't think the Dragon was that hard, you could drop him pretty fast and get a critical hit in. The Nameless King himself however, he took a few hours not gonna lie. The way he's so fast, and yet also kinda screws with you with delays on some of his attacks, and likely 1 shots you... but hey getting 1 shotted, that's most dark souls bosses to be fair lol.

  • @TheJadeFist

    Now try Slave Knight Gael. I tell you what, that boss made me rethink my fighting style and get creative on weapon swapping. I'd played and beaten him on earlier NG+ levels usually summoning some help, but for NG+7 I decided I was going to do it 100% solo. And the shear amount of HP that guy had, rendered magic impotent entirely,. I could never deal enough damage with my lightning to even get really past phase 1/ or early 2 before running out of mana, and mana estus, even with max mana stat and faith stat. Which was fine enough if I had to go sword and board, I'd done that for several fights already and I was cos-playing Solaire because reasons. Well imbueing my sword still took forever, and even one mistake in a 30 minute fight was very punishing, could be instantly fatal. Long story short, I eventually got creative/ cheesed it a bit, by using a combination of frost and poison or bleed, it's been a few years so I don't remember exactly but I had a frost rapier, and I think a poisoned uchigatana as my sub. It still took forever, it was stupidly long fight, but the hundreds of thousands of hp or maybe millions of hp were brought down a bit with percent based damaged (even though there is a damage cap on it, it was still taking decent chips out of him). When I finally beat him, it was the best feeling any souls games has given me, I had successfully beaten dark souls 3 to my satisfaction. Did ng +7, beaten every boss, and did it on my own terms, and the fight itself was such a spectacle and a great way to put a cap stone on the Dark Souls franchise itself, as the true final boss of the series.

    Great video essay. I have a question for you. What do you think is the heart of the Soulsborne series that separates it from other "Soulslike" games. No Souls like game has managed to properly capture Fromsofts magic yet.. some got close.. do u think the future of gaming is moving towards Soulslikes?

  • @scopecreep_

    Also, yeah, I reloaded my ER save and only did two playthroughs to get all three endings. This is the only "cheese" I did to get the platinum. It's petty easy and straightforward to platinum compared to the other souls games. No vertebra shackles. If you look at PSN Profiles, the listed guide says it will take 65 hours. If it took you longer, that's fine, but there's nothing suspicious about a 65 hour platinum run for ER.
