You got that right, for sure. You need both to get it in, but typically only need distance to sew up a two-putt.

Chase, good question. In teaching circles a sway is generally thought of as a backswing issue in which the right hip and head "sway" to the right during the backswing. It leaves the player with the job of trying to get back before impact, and usually, with inconsistent success. To roll in on the ankles shouldn't lead to a sway.
