I am amazed how you used lots of bucket & PVC's for circulation of water for hydroponic's, for us in Thailand we order a fertilized soil made from coconut husk, cut up dried banana stem add up all dried fruit & vegetable in a bag added a compost of course maybe 12 to 24 bags split the plastic opening on side as you lay down & slit the bottom install a plastic net to catch & strain the used water for recycling process, this system is organic plantation without the used of ground soil

I don't care how much its cleaned, I don't want something that contained rat/mice poison anywhere near my foods. Pretty sure that is not an approved disposal method lol

If you cut the PVC pipe at a slight angle, it’s easier to push it in. Also, if you put the elbow on the end you are pushing on it is easier to push.

Soaking the grommets in hot water will make them flexible and easier to install

Pretty sure the Contrac buckets are labeled as not reusable. It's alarming that a licensed applicator had not disposed of them property.

Wow. Supposed to dispose of those buckets. Per the Label. Might want to remove the video if you still have your commercial applicator license. You should know that plastic absorbs whatever that is in it. Ever wonder why Rubbermaid containers are red after storing spaghetti??

You are supposed to use food grade buckets in hydroponics - and ones that never contained toxic elements because they can leech in and out of plastic. Using buckets that contained rat poison is dangerous.

Seems like a system like this would be more efficient if you have a pressure switch pump and pumped from a lower reservoir to an upper reservoir. Have one reservoir below the buckets where the water returns to and one above the buckets. When the lower reservoir is full enough the pressure switch will activate and evacuate the lower reservoir pumping the water to the upper reservoir. The upper can gravity drain at whatever rate you choose by means of one ball valve and drip holes. Which would eliminate a pump running 24/7. As it would only cycle when the lower hit the amount of water to trigger the pressure switch. A simply sump pump and check valve would work perfectly and are designed for long term constant use. You could also utilize the upper reservoir with a foam raft to grow lettuce or whatever else. In the lower reservoir you could house some type of fish which would bring nutrients into the water.

How many times did he say about that much and not be precise. It would have been nice if he had thought this thing thru and made an outline and some notes(to provide precise info) and then started talking. Reminds me of the old TLAR (that looks about right) from my military days.

If you had to drive to Plano to get different grommets, it would have been nice if you would have given the correct part number to save us a trip.

I just can't believe mom thinks its okay to use the rat poison containers since he "rinsed them out real good". Not being very careful. You can buy food grade buckets at Home Depot if you cant find any free ones at the bakery or grocery store. Plastic containers absorb chemicals that can leach back into the water in your bucket.
