First heard Michael Hearn at Anderson Fair in Houston. He’s become one of my most favorites and this beautiful song is my favorite. Very nice Michael Hearn, thanks for such a wonderful body of work.
I just love shakes voice! Makes me melt every time I hear him!

Love this. Kind of been out of the Texas music scene for a while. For shame. Glad to be back.
Can hardly wait for The Big Barn Dance again this year in Taos! Also can't wait to be in beautiful Taos again. Thank you Shake and Michael for all your wonderful music. Speaks to my soul.
It was another great Big Barn Dance 2023
I love you guys and I love this song! Thanku❤
Love this song! One of my favorites! ❤️
As I await for surgery, I find this to be my current theme song. Oh, how I love to play it everyday, and hope to restore my ability to perform again. Adding to my song list.
Shake Russell and Michael Hearne wrote this beautiful song. Gary P. Nunn did sing it, though.
Always beautiful! Love this tune and you are all amazing.
Taos Inn, Heard some great music there a few years ago while passing through.
When I'm not working, I go where the good music's at.
We were most appreciative to Michael and Shake for stopping by our art gallery to play a few songs, including this one, during Nocona’s “Art of the Song” music and arts festival. They are very talented musical artists and great guys, as well.
Much love for these musicians! Thanks, Shake!!!
Yes, indeed my old friend Shake Russell, I would certainly just love to sit in one a few songs if you let me add some fun to a book signing. play a few shows with you after the book turns up in the not too days. This would sound open to so many different instruments including congas and bongos and a touch of marascas, claves, guiros .and chimes. Oh, my oh my, we could get just a little bit of extra spice to some strikingly moving music, indeed. I have been playing along with you and some of your other hombres such as Michael Hearne and Dana Cooper. Let's do a couple of shows if you think the times are right to celebrate your fertile music and songs. Billy Keith Bucher
JUST BEAUTIFUL!! Love the harmonies and the beautiful acoustic playing!!!
Shake Russell and Michael Hearne bring back fond memories of the Kerrville Folk Festivals I attended for over 30 years. Michael's parents were wonderful and this music makes my heart warm and reminds me of the treasures these artists are to all of us. Thanks, Shake and Michael. Keep on keepin' on.
These guys are magic. Nuff said!
Michael has a country soul as big as Texas!
I been longing to be evergreen eversince I saw my last prepandemic live show at Threadgills in Austin Texas. Threadgills is closed now. 🤷😷🕊️😥

The song was written by Gary p nunn
No it wasn't, but Gary P. did record it as well. Songwriter credits are Michael Hearne, Shake Russell and Jimmy Sadler.
Halcyon Days my good friend.
Awesome!
Pure heart. Edit to add - No matter how many times I hear this? 4:42 gets me every time.
*Tears* of joy. Thank you.
My old friend Doug Floyd on mandolin.
He's incredible beautiful.
Great mix!
Shake and Michael put on a great show. Look up old Shake songs Like Gentle Way to Ride on RUclips. Maybe he will bring back some of these classics from the old days in Houston. Pillow of Stone. So many great songs.
Deep In The West... boom... mic drop!
Look up "me and my guitar" by Michael Hearn it's an exceptional album.
I played bass in a band called The Galactic Cowboys, with Mike Hearne and Mike Ames in Dallas back in the early 1970's. Nice to see Mike still at it. BTW, what a beautiful song! Cheers from Tommy in Argntina!
Whoever thumbs downed this needs to go get help 😂😂
Amen on that!
I just love this song.

One of the most beautifully written songs out there today. Good job guys !!
It sure is.
Michael, Shake , Butch Morgan, and a host of other fine musicians played this at the Big Barn Dance in Taos this past weekend and made the angels cry. Thanks, Michael and friends: I'll remember this one on my deathbed.
<agree.Saw Shake and Michael at Gruene last year. Claude's ex and boys are still close dear friends since 1980. Love Shake's songwriting.
I was there!
My boyfriend introduced me to this song and it is SO captivating. I need to get the studio version!
Saw him for the first time ever this past weekend at the Mucky Duck in Houston this past weekend for a special date night with my mom since she's been a Shake Russell fan for 30+ years. While we were there to specifically see Shake Russell, I was actually drawn more towards Michael Hearne. Although I was able to thank you while we were there, I would like to thank you again for making the evening so special for my mom and I. It's an experience we will fondly remember for years to come. Not once have I ever liked an artist, let alone comment on their song, I felt the need to do so on this one
