Such a mesmerizing song
This song reminds me of growing up, in a way. You obviously don't remain the same person you were as a child. You become more serious, less carefree, and less optimistic as you get older. You also become cooler, you maintain control of your emotions, and you develop more skills. Yet, in the song, it feels like the adult and the child are practically 2 separate people, with the adult chastising their child self for being weak.

I think it's about how after some sort of an unpleasant event, the protagonist felt, like her old self had died, and she is a completely different person, sure of herself, and morbid. That's the theory I'm leaning towards. Some speculated, that it is about jealousy and identity theft, some proposed that it's the same person dying over and over, but can we all agree this slaps?
