Faulty Stage 1+ Brisk Plugs? (Spark Plug Replacement for B9/B9.5 RS5)
What’s up RUclips, today I wanted to teach you guys how to change your spark plugs properly but also highlight an issue I had with the brisk spark plugs. They were fine initially- gapped to 0.023 and tightened properly. I drive aggressively, so they lasted only 8K even on the Stage 1+ tune, but after I replaced them I got the same issue. A misfire. The misfire with the OLD Brisk plugs was in Cylinder 1 but then when I got the NEW brisk plugs the misfire moved to Cylinder 5. I should’ve known then the plugs were maybe faulty but either or I decided to stick with the OEM VW NGK Plugs. Much higher quality and they are also cheaper. I think the brisks are better for high power applications. I...

034Motorsport Rear Subframe Inserts DIY & Review (Improve your Handling!)

What's up guys, subscribe if you're new. This DIY was kinda surprising in more ways than one, First of all the install is easy as hell given the right tools. The actual inserts and their performance is crazy. I can't really emphasize enough how much they made the car feel more on rails. If I tracked my car before this, I'm 100% sure I'd drop my time significantly. The sway bars on top of this w...

However I got them done and the brakes themselves are definitely worlds better than th...

How to Change Oil in an Audi RS5 (Easy Fun DIY)
HAD THE SAME DIFFUSER HAD TO TAKE THE BUMPER OFF BC THOSE THREE TABES IN THE MIDDLE ARE SUPPOSED TO GET DRILLED IN FROM BEHIND THE BUMPER IN THEM TO SECURE THEM IN PLace. that was also driving me crazy the gap but ended up doing what i told you
I assume those are the 1521?
Terrible n that’s cause the catless downpipe
Gotta get that upgraded HPFP and run some E85, absolute game changer my boy
Yes, I am having issues with the Brisk too. No code yet, but definitely misfiring. I am swapping back to OEM plugs.
Yeah it seems like a common issue, hope the OEMs work better for you!
Confused as to how your flsshed time was slowe than stock haha
Lmaooo thank God it’s not that slow everytime
Thank you for the video, this is the first one on the 2.9 TT engine. I’m planning on doing the plugs on my S6 ( same engine). Do you need thin wall socket or regular one will work? Thank you
Sorry for the late response you need the thin wall!!
Ok Im not hating or anything, but cutting down the parts where us, the viewers have to wait around would massively improve your video performance, as it will increase your watchtime. Yes, it will make the entire video shorter, but the average watchtime will increase, making youtube promote your video more. I just want you to succeed man.
Appreciate man thanks for the advice
Sick ass car, brother!!!!!
Thanks man!!! Means a lot !
@ItzGRenn Hell yeah, I got mine as well like 3 days ago lol
For cooling what do you think about IE new air to air? I think im going to get it
Thanks for Sharing…..#GoRavens 💪🏽🫡
💪🏾💪🏾
lol I been owning this car since day 1 I got 120,000 2019 you just don’t know what’s coming. Get ready to change the belt and water pump oil filter housing and turbos wastegate will rattle soon. Also stop changing your oil at 10,000 don’t be an idiot
Isn't that the case with all cars over 100k?
Aye 🙌 thanks for the shout out. Yeah, stock turbos don't need the Brisk!
what drill do you have? can you link it? The drill you used to remove the trans mount inser
Yes got you right now

I use Brisk plugs in my high hp hellcat on E85 you needed to gap the brisk down to about 24-26 range Its weird you have a issue with them been running brisk on my hellcat for like 7 years Did 034 recommend a colder plug brand ?
034 recommended this brand, I don’t think it’s 034’s fault imo. I just think I got bad plugs. I gapped the first pair with no issue, but this is why I’m sticking with OEMs for now bcs I won’t have to worry about that lol
Is the phone app you used to view ethanol content is that app specific to the ethanol sensor you used ?
Yessir
Guys be careful where u buy auto parts there is a lot of counterfeit parts sold online
my favorite car and my favorite color! thank you for the video!
Thanks!! Glad I could help out.
thanks! I think this is the first spark plugs video on the B9 RS5 lol, lots of S5 videos
Yeah man I think you’re right! This is what my channel is all about, sharing info for the RS5
Yeah man I think you’re right! This is what my channel is all about, sharing info for the RS5
You need to tell me the year mate
2021
@@ItzGRenn thank you
Beautiful car. I did the same tune on my 2021 RS5 Sportback and got down to 3.18 0-60 on 93 octane. That's with the 034 intake, dynamic + sway bars, trans mount, differential mount subframe mounts. The car would jump off the line. The 034 ecu and tcu stage 2 tune is amazing. I just got a 2025 RS5 Sportback Competition Plus. So it will be interesting to see how it reacts to tuning. Good luck
Let me know how the build goes! I don’t have the sway bars lol
I’m thinking about adding a tune on my RS5 but I just bought an extended warranty. So does the 034 tune void your factory warranty?
I would say yea
Talk to your dealer, these are case by case basis, best to be honest with the dealer so you’re not in a situation where you’re screwed and they don’t have your back, but if you say nothing they will definitely TD1 your ass.
@@ItzGRennAppreciate the feedback I will definitely be hitting them up about it before I do anything!
The coupe is wack the sport back is cool
Damn broooo
in my opinion, the b9 platform is better looking this looks slightly toy carish still fire though bro
Hey buddy, great vid. Do you have a link to the carbon caps please.
I’ll put a link in the description that fit better than these as the old link for the eBay ones don’t exist anymore
Both are gorgeous cars!
Thanks man !!! 🫱🏾🫲🏼🤍
I think you can turn the wear sensor off with VCDS. At least I was able to on my 2014.
I actually like it man. I wear my brakes abnormally 🙃🙃🙃
Great video and keep the grind going. It’s so funny as I just recently followed you on X as I am also a Ravens fan. 💪🏽
NO WAY BRO !! I have a little less decorum on twitter so my apologizes but we got something to prove this year!!
@@ItzGRennMost Definitely 💪🏽 bringing the smoke. We have to hook up at a GTG soon. I own a 19 RS5 Coupe.
Whats the final take on karbel...i am to order for mine (2022 sportback rs5) and its karbel, abt or maxton..
Get the correct instructions and it’s probably the best diff user on the market for B9.5
@ItzGRenn thanks a mil...ordered..
Never heard of Carbotech but i do see they are expensive as hell. How are these holding so far ?
They are expensive as shit! But damn do I love these brakes lol. The brake dust is just way better than any other pad I’ve had.
They make some of the best pads for street use.
very helpful video, how are the pads holding up?
Really really nice man, can deal with a little more heat than oem or Hawk 5.0 imo (don’t ask me how I know lol) and the brake dust is IMMENSELY less.
Great car but that constant popcorn would drive me nuts
Thanks man, and I was doing it on purpose, you can turn it off and still be in sport OR you can just switch to comfort and you literally don’t hear any of them. Love the feature since my wife isn’t fond of it all the time lol.
Thank you for the video! Can that wheel be heated also?
Yes it can! If you use my code you’ll get 15% off just make sure to message ask carbon and name on instagram
Thank you
Imo for the money the s5 and rs5 or really the best cars in their category they really meet realistic demands. Truth is i cant hit my gas pedal 24/7 and for that that's why its the best platform i be massaging and bumping. I got a 2022 s4 because I personally don't like the hatch s5 or rs5 and i needed 4 doors. Now if they made an rs4 in the states it would be G FUKING G
I’m so surprised they do not have the rs4 in the states. I feel like it would be popular
Porsche Macan S is the same engine, and Porsche recommends changing the oil at 15k km, which is approx 10k miles, and you know Porsche's engineers are OCD so I'll stick to that.
For sure! I think bcs I’m tuned ill stick with every 5K, I won’t hurt the car and my oil is free
Great insight. Sold the B5.5 S5. Getting a nardo b9 RS5. Amazing color!!!
Good choice!
Is yours tuned?
At the time of the video nope, but now yes!
I’m not one to interject my opinion on others purchases. You earned that money.. absolutely do what makes you happy. My question is… given the insane accuracy of the dragy and the fact that it costs $150… why don’t you have one and why not test your new $1200 intake and put the “it doesn’t make power” argument to rest? Granted there is some personal interest in seeing that too. I think a large inlet tube (like IE offers) would be absolutely necessary. From the video it does sound SICK though
I did buy a draggy! Stock I didn’t see a change but without a tune you won’t see one lol. 034 is coming out with a turbo inlet so I’m eager to try that since it’ll fit on my air intake. But I think it’s pretty cool how much these hardware parts make a difference.
Well for one. Its not a competition model
Yea good point
Drop the steering wheel link man!
instagram.com/askcarbon?igsh=NWY5MWt4bWJ4bTdm Use “ITZGRENN” as a code and message me on instagram for a 15% off discount
Wooo like you said never gets old! What exhaust to you use?
I used Fi-exhaust this is probably the best thing I bought for the car other than the tune
👀 what kind of exhaust?
FI-Exhaust 😭😭
So you flash after the car reaches the ethanol content target not before hand like right when u turn on the car after filling up
The way 034 says to do it is that way. However (AND DONT DO WHAT I DO) I like to flash immediately and just drive slow and not hammer it until the ethanol content is over 60%
@@ItzGRenn Got it so basically this is ur own method but it’s risky ?
It’s my own method bcs I don’t take risks. It isn’t recommended obviously but I’m careful !!
I want this steering but I want the heated steering wheel option. Is it possible? Can you share a link if possible?
Dm me on Instagram I’ll give you the details and a discount.
I just ordered my 034 Stage 1 tune for my B9 RS5. I'm super hype too haha
Be careful not to get a ticket, and your brakes will feel like they don’t do anything for the first few days lol.
@@ItzGRenn hahaha oh man!
A good informative video , and would agree with most of it. Previously I had a 492bhp B8.5 S5 running 600nm with the dct. My current B9 RS5 has over 800nm and Audi/Bmw/Mercedes all opted for the ZF gearbox because it can take more torque than the dual clutch. I actually like the ZF as when its mapped the gearbox turns what is already a pretty fast car into a weapon. The fact you can be driving around at 34mph and the car can be in 6th gear. Then when your foots to the floor your at 150+ mph in 6th. Great video keep it up 💯 Also love your steering wheel.👍
Thanks man glad you found it helpful, and yea totally agree, if I were to have an auto trans, this would be the one.
Don't lie bro😂...that sound is wild bro,I like the sound, you like the sound too
How much did that set you back? I have a 2023 rs5 and I agree the round steering wheel sucks. I want to upgrade but I’m pricing them
I had a lot of unnecessary features kept lol and some extra designs that were hard for them to do,min was around 1.9K my friends wheel was around $900 so it just depends, dm me on instagram I have a discount code or you can watch my video on the steering wheel to use it!
Great video and yes you have great tasting cars. The rs5/s5 are my favorite 6 cylinder cars. I think with the awe track exhaust it sounds amazing
The most popular rs5 on instagram has that exhaust, it’s really good “RS5_RANSOM”
Pads and rotors for an s5 are around $2k at the dealership. I've done brakes on cars before, but this seems more difficult due to technology and electronics.
I’ll be honest I’m sure this is way more difficult than my wife’s Jetta but we’ll see when it’s time 🤣
@ItzGRenn I'd do anything to save that 2k, but I think I'll have to pay them. Luckily the brakes do last a while. I got it used, but I think brakes are original and have 50k miles and still ok.
Pads are fine to change but honestly when my rotors get to 50k I’d like to change them
