Why is my 2018 ram 1/2 ton air suspension sagged in front right down but back is fully inflated , giving raising and lowering lights on dash ? Was cold. Is this a bad battery issue ? A reset the system issue. or Is this a repair issue

So a few things i have leared about running this system on my 14 ram 1500 is the rear air bags last 5-6 years in my climate (manitoba canada). And if you have a system that is freezing up in winter, remove the right taillight and put 5ml of air brake antifreeze down the hose, and that fixes that. This time around im going with one aftermarket air bag and one cheap Chinese one off ebay. I want to see how it holds up. It looks the same so time will tell i guess. And when i swap air bags i dont bring it to the dealer to fill it up. I just let the compresser do the work. I love the air ride system, just dont care for the rear bags that dont last.

Yes guys, that's right. Exact same story. I checked it in the fully raised position and thats why i can not detect a leak. After watching your video, i realized whats happened. Now i know, my both rear bags are leaking. I found on amazon, guys who have 12 month warranty just for 279$ for both side. Thank you guys. Drive safe. God bless you all

Very informative video, the image is crystal clear and the narration is great and easy to follow. To remedy the fault you replaced all the module which house the switch. Is this the only way to fix this fault? is there is a less expensive solution to fix this problem?

Thanks !! had a customer hook his aux battery up backwards / not in park message ( data in all other modules shows park position) no crank / ignition will not turn off after pushed to run/ shifter will not come out of park / must disconnect aux battery to shut ign run down.... information in data base is vague update if This solves one or more issues. ( of course no DTC's are current )

Exact same story with our customer who spent a lot of money at the dealership, I put it into exit mode to deflate the bags, raised it, peeled back the boot and lots of bubbles, didnt even need to put on a drive-on hoist. With the bags inflated on the hoist you will never find the issue. It was sinking overnight and even on the hwy while driving.

So I have a 2016 rebel with this problem. Only the rear end will sag sometimes, and lately even after starting it can take upward of 15 minutes for the rear end to be level. I also hear a weird pressure relief sound coming from behind the tail light, then a bubbling sound until the compressor kicks back on. Has anyone had a similar issue?

My 2015 grand Cherokee have exact issue but the gear are not the same. I tried to check for that blue switch you displayed but can’t find it. The gear system on my 15 is different from the one you’re demonstrating on

Hey bud good find, I just had a customer bring in their Cherokee with the same problem. Lol I found the same blue switch to push. Had to order the part obviously, so in the interim I added a toggle to shut it off. Seems to be prevalent in the Cherokees now.

How about I just yeet all the airbags off of it and throw in some coilovers

Ok, so my rear suspension is lower after 11 hours shift and it's more low on the driver side rear. Would that be a leaking problem?

I just replaced rear air bags myself. Stupid easy and only cost me $150 for a pair of after market airbags on eBay. Stealership wanted $3000 for the job. Should I purge the system with nitrogen? Can a local shop do that for me? I refuse to go to crooks at the dealership.

If you have a ram air ride, you can replace the entire system for $700 and 5 hours of time. Don't keep throwing money into that crap where best case it still won't work when it's cold! So happy i pulled that junk out. 2017 ram 1500 limited.

This is really an issue with these ram trucks. I’ve replaced my compressors and bags 2 years ago and I am having the same issues again now. 2 years ago it was $4800 to fix, I am sure it will be more now. Chrysler fiat should do the right thing and do a recall as this is clearly not an isolated thing, it gets much worse in colder climates.

I cant believe I just came across this video! I have had my truck back and forth with the dealer multiple time since January 2022 with this problem...they have charged my a rediculous amount of money to fix it and it is still not fixed. I am going to share this with Ram Customer Care and the Dealer as neither seems to know what to do. By the way I have now invested $5900 in air suspension repairs over the last 2 years. I am not a Happy camper!!

Just got the battery replaced and got the same messages. I took the car to Oreilys and they said the wires weren’t hooked up right. They fixed it in 5 minutes. I hope this helps someone

I ended up replacing both batteries and still not working, now I'm getting different warnings on my screen such as check engine, SBS, battery, and a super low voltage at 10.3 volts I also have a message that says stop safety vehicle will shut off soon and out of nowhere my jeep starting shaking like crazy and It died on me, I have a 2020 Jeep gladiator, do you guys know what might be the issue here?
