I can agree with you on that one, haha! The patch name was more of a play between Ryoji Ikeda's name and the Pure Data software, in my head at least.

I watched this whole set, stunning work! Glad you found my patch to be of use!

This was the purchase that finally got me into making a eurorack system! I found a great deal on the both of them used before I even had the case made. What drew me to the Buchla stuff was that I loved how straight-forward it was, as in "here's the function clearly laid out, now do something cool with it". Especially since I have that old-school experimental electronic sound in my head, it's a great system to get into, all while being reasonably priced as well as eurorack compatible. Tiptop did a great job with these!

I don't know if "first try" is the most accurate description of how I recorded this patch as it wasn't like I whipped this up in 30 minutes, but I guess it is in the sense that I slowly built the patch out and played around with it for awhile before recording a single take to capture the idea. It's a process of course, but one that came and went within a few hours.

Hey there! The middle switch in performance mode triggers a simple synthesizer voice that emulates a vibraphone chord. I probably meant to trigger that from random triggers, but I probably ran out of time and/or CPU.

Hey there! ZOIA is extremely versatile when adjusting different parameters, to the extent that everything you use to make a patch is tweak-able to your heart's content. If you've downloaded the patch for yourself from PatchStorage, feel free to poke around. I haven't done as much organization as I probably should have, but at least everything should be organized by page at least. In regards to the knob on my ZOIA, it is the stock knob, but I just put a googly eye on it for my own amusement.

Good question! Mainly this month is just dedicated to learning all this ZOIA pedal can do, so these patches are just a direct result of that. Eventually though it would be really fun to see how I can use this workflow and these sounds in my future music compositions. I definitely agree with you on the harshness of some of this patch, though with the specific patching technique I was using here (cross-modulation feedback) it is bound to get unruly at times. Absolutely something to consider going forward!

We already hearing it for two years every day and many times, here in Ukraine.
