There for this one!
The cable management 😂
One question I am trying to put my h90 and big sky Mx together can you help me on doing this
Sounds really cool
Owl city!!
Was almost triggered when I saw the BigSky in D in the thumbnail 😂 Nah in all seriousness tho, I use my Line 6 Helix, spent all day monday trying to get reverb sounds out of it as good as my BigSky, couldn't get it done no matter what I tried, so that pedal isn't going anywhere here 😂 So right now my setup is Helix, BigSky, Eventide H9 and Peterson Strobostomp.
@@mickeygiesbers8176 haha! For real the big sky is an amazing pedal. I love the line 6 helix stuff too and while I do think you can good reverbs out of that…there’s just a little bit a of magic that can’t be replicated. Thanks for watching!
@@ElyVaz_ Yeah man, I've been using my Helix for about 8 years now, that thing isn't going anywhere either 😂 I tried a pedalboard setup for the last couple of months based around my Tonex, but I just missed my Helix, and at this point it's like... It all sounds good man 😂
JHS Kilt version 1 or 2 what do you prefer? Also, JHS Thunderbolt. Great vid! Subscribed ❤
@@musicman4christjesus thank you! I’ve never tried the V1 personally but I know lots of people love that boost feature and can double like a dual overdrive. Personally I like having different flavors of drive so I think I’d still go v2 and grab a boost/drive elsewhere!
U forgot the iridium 😢
Hey Ely, what Tonex captures did you use in this video?
Here I was using the worship tutorials Morgan AC20 and Two Rock Classic Reverb
Hola como estas? tendras el multitrack? gracias
@@diegoditillio9753 todo bien! Desafortunadamente no, pero esto simple es las dos canciones originales puestas juntas.
No internal switch on the collider for trails?
@@crock2434 it has trails in the sense that if you turn the effect off it will “trail” and fade however, if you’re switching reverb or delay algorithms there’s no spillover. It just cuts off.
Cool video I enjoyed it. Morning Glory is a top tier pedal for me though!
Dude really just baited us putting the BigSky in D tier in the thumbnail 💀
That’s why I came too 😂
Great content man!
Hello friend! What are the captures you are using in tonex one? Thank you
In this video I’m using the Two Rock Classic Reverb and the Morgan AC20 Deluxe. Both captures from WorshipTutorials.
@@ElyVaz_ TKS BROTHER
Great demo. Could be the RUclips compression, but it sounded like a big volume drop when you kicked on the Nero.
Do you have a lot of great tones but what is up with that buzzing sound in the background?
Probably the single coil hum combined with compressor raising the noise floor
I just got mine. I have a Tone X and a UAFX Lion running into the inserts. It’s magic
Bias controls the symmetry of the clipping and the turn-on threshold of the second transistor in a fuzz circuit. The Kingsley Artisan has a similar setting. You can think of it as the snarl and "spittiness" control. Lower settings produce more distortion since the output signal looks less like the input signal since the middle of the waveform has the transistor "off". You can hear the point at which the control has the transistor on enough that it stops producing that a-harmonic spitty noise.
@@MatthewSpringer this is good info! Thank you!
please peel off the plastic on the timeline 😭😭
@@andrxi.h gotta keep that screen pristine lol 😂
Awesome content bro ❤God bless
@@railmdc8449 thank you!
Are those KRK 5s? I’m curious as to what size monitors I should get for working on my guitar tones.
@@noahmoran2885 Yes KRK 5s. Honestly I don’t rely on them exclusively for working on guitar tones. I’ll definitely get some other references like headphones or my in ears but the monitors are awesome to feel it nice and loud in the room and compare.
@@ElyVaz_ thanks! I appreciate it 🙏
Your Strat and tone sound great as is! The comp did add some seasoning here and there. Sounded great overall.
@@craiglizt8074 thank you much! 🙏🏽
How do I join a worship band? I play guitar and bass but have only been in mainly rock bands. I have all the gear just not sure if there's like a tryout or you have to know someone. Thank you
The tone is absolutely amazing bro
Thank you man! 🙏🏽
I definitely think they used AI to improve it like that
I really like your explantion ,i am planning on buying a tone x as my first effect pedal.i think it is a bang for the buck
Agreed! It’s hard to beat for the price point! Amps, reverb, EQ, etc.
can you compare with cali 76 deluxe?
I’d love to if I could! I don’t have a deluxe and I’ve never played the deluxe so I can’t say for sure but based on controls I’d wager they’re very similar. They state with this newer version they went after their “large format” sound from their 2012 pedal so there maybe some differences there compared to the deluxe.
I’m also someone who doesn’t vibe with most fuzzes. But this one sounds pretty smooth and useable.
Shout out to the lifetime warranty!!
Where did you find your Morgan tone X profile!?
Both of these captures I’m using in this video are from the fine folks at WorshipTutorials.
You can talk that's for sure
Dear Mono. Give Ely an endorsement deal. Thanks.
Haha 🤣 I’m part of their self endorsement program aka buy your own gear
Amen, I second this. I wouldn’t mind one too tho…cough cough 👀
I got my Plini in February, it's simply the best
It’s fantastic!
Really loving these pedal reviews. As someone who’s scared of analog gear, it at least gives me an idea of what out there!
Sometimes digital is the thing. Other times, analog is the thing. There's so many variables at play, it's worth experimenting with both.
So how does the GFI Synesthesia compare to the H90 in terms of modulation sound quality? I know the pitch effects are much better on Eventide, what about the rest?
I think they’re both really good and you can’t go wrong either , it’ll just come down to the algos. For sure H90 for pitch effects. I think the rotary on the synethesia is a tad better but after that , everything else is pretty close for chorus, trem, vibrato, etc. I will say the H90 has more parameters to tweak so there’s more I can do with the algos.
H90 sounds are way better IMO. Perform mode in the H90 is a game changer as well. You can do all sorts of things to the effects in real time
@@baristart123 100% agree on perform mode. The more I play with the H90 the more I see the live use possibilities! 🙌🏽
Nice work.
Thank you!
Hi Ely!!! Loving the content. Where you do get your tabs from out of curiosity??
Hey there , are you asking about this song “more of you”? If so, there’s no Tabs that I got as that’s a Hope Worship original song.
Totally agree with what you were saying about having to eye ball some of the parameters and it not being as precise. For now I am still using my big Tonex pedals and I'm going to use the Tonex One for drive captures.
Yeah definitely a compromise there everyone will have to decide on their own if worth it for their set up!
I have this guitar (mine is the Cherry colour) and it’s amazing & beautiful & awesome to play. Have you tried the coil splits on it to get a different tone ?
Play it for worship! It’s just a guitar! Both me and our other guitarist play one for sunday services, it’s such an inspiring instrument
One thing that's really cool is the pitch effects track so well, you can often times run other effects before them and they don't of get artifacts as much and instead wind up with some really cool results. Micropitch for example, stick a reverb before it etc.
The more I keep trying micropitch the more I’m loving it!
DUDE, haircut! Looks good man.
Yeah it was time! Thanks man!
I second this
Envelope on a trem is an amazing effect. The pigtronix tremvelope ruined me for that sound/experience
100%! love it
Great sounds! Would you mind sharing the settings for the Lofi tape?
There's quite a bit of parameters on each of these algos. Is there something specific you're looking for? I started with the cassette culture preset and the main tweaks I did was lower the compression setting to 4 and then brought the filter control up to -5 to give me some low end back. If I was setting it for a song I would also play with the W&F control to make sure it's not too much or too little for what the song calls for. On the sculpt algo I started with the little speaker preset and brought down the mix to 10.
I love your ambient tone where you can hear your guitar and the ambient sound behind it. Can you tell me how to get that sound with my Pod Go?
Thank you! The Pod Go has the same effects so definitely achievable! I think if you're going for an ambient tone like what I did here then you should play with the pre delay so that your guitar signal sits "on top" of the reverb rather than within it. The reverbs in the video has pre delay settings of 28ms for stage one, 49 ms for stage two and 104ms for stage three. My delay had a mix of 40%. Hopefully that helps!
Thanks this will help a lot.
Wow! 😮🤯 I am truly impressed with this board that you made. Simple and practical but really powerful mini board that looks like it will cover anything you’re doing. Brilliant video and breakdown.
Thank you! That was my goal as you said, simple, practical, but not feeling limited that I couldn’t play something.
Can you make a video of how you program the mc3 with Hx stomp? I have trouble doing that
Geez, that thing is crazy.
This is great! Just a question: did you consider using snapshots and why do you prefer the tap/double tap/hold with a midi controller?
I haven't yet! ill probably experiment with them and see if I can make them work for me. Off the top of my head I believe the hx stomp only does 3 snapshots though. So in theory I could set song parts like intro (snapshot 1) , verse (snapshot 2) , etc. Personally, I do not like to be locked in set settings for songs. I much prefer to select in the moment cause I may not always want to play the parts the same. There's simply not enough snapshots to have every combination of drive, modulation, delay, and reverb, that I could want ready to go so having the midi controller set up this way makes it so I can always select and combine whatever I want for any song section. Maybe not as easy as setting up snapshots but that's just how my brain works!
