I need fuel tank and fittings to recover my father agm stove
@@kennethbradley2222 I would check eBay... There are a few that work with this stove
They're built well but you can't dump the fuel for storage due to a design flaw. Sadly parts are hard to come by.
@@dontblameme6328 agree on removing the fuel so I use a hand pump I got at harbor freight that's for removing fuel from gas tanks. I drop a hose in and drain it into a bottle or my lantern. Works really well. I'm going to put up more videos on other oddball stoves and I'll try to remember to show the bottle
Thank you for sharing this
@@paulmeisel9942 you're welcome! Hope it helped
Amazing how these old stoves were built to last. Nice job bringing it back to life!
Thanks man! I still have it and cook on it all the time haha
What year? I like how the edges are rounded
By what a few members on a stove forum said it is a "no letter" 426...so late 1940 to early 1950. First production
They were loud .
Very nice looking stove . I have a few love them
I think the stove is awesome but wish I could simmer with it haha
"I'm trying to do this with the wrong hand", is what she said.
VERY PRETTY PAINT, LOOKS LIKE NICE PERFORMANCE FROM BURNERS. PRETTY BLUE BANDS ROUND THE BURNERS. NICE STOVE, ENVIOUS OF PAINT JOB.HOPE YOULL CHECK THAT RUST INSIDE TANK. WOULD LIKE TO SEE HAMBERGER COOKED ON IT SOMETIME. YOUVE GOT AN EMERALD THERE! THANKS FOR SHOWING HER.
Dp you know where i can get a fuel cap for agm stove like yours
Fuel cap? You mean the pump? The pump also serves as a fuel cap for the tank
Pump is in one end fuel flll is ib the other
@@kennethbradley2222 not on the LCS-41 stove. You have to remove the pump on this one to full it and then put it back in to replace it
They’re tough stoves and well built. Nice example you’ve got there 👍🏻
I was really surprised by it compared to coleman stoves... really well made and the cast burners are 👌
These stove are built very well , because they are still around and work so well . Love the cast burner .
Yeah I really have become a fan of the stove and plan taking this one along to Yosemite!
I recently got one of those-it took a lot of fiddling with it to get it to run right-mine is very sensitive to closing that black knob-the generator has to be heated up HOT to run with the black knob closed all the way. I do think it puts out more heat than a comparable Coleman stove, though. It's a heavy stove, for sure!
What kind of fuel did you run in yours? I ran white gas or coleman fuel in this one and it responds well... not brave enough to put unleaded in it yet haha
@@0Regula0 I only use Coleman fuel in all my stoves and lanterns. My KampKook stove is a "white gas only" version-it does not have that big generator like yours-just a thin one that looks like the one on Coleman stoves.
Generator for this model are hard to come by. I have one too that first got it and had a leak luckily didn't cause a fire but need to isolate the leak. Hoping I can just pressurize with air and use bubbles to find it. But it ran just ended up with fuel everywhere down the side. Freaked out and didn't get to locate the leak. May just be a bit I need to tighten the packing. We shall see I did find one generator for it which I'm holding onto. They are hard to come by
For me the knob you use to adjust the flame on the old generator was snapped off but by what I've learned is that the packing doesn't really come out easy but apparently it does come out only if you heat up the connection... they're brazed together. Not simple at all. There are posts where someone did it on the coleman collectors forum. In my opinion though you probably just need to tighten the packing nut down a little. Regarding finding the leak...I didn't submerge mine because I'm wanting to prevent rust...so I just make sure it's bone dry and pumped it full of air... there are only 3 places fuel would leak...on off valve...the flame adjustment valve...or the fuel cap as you probably know already. Lastly...Regarding sources for the part...I found mine on Craigslist... it was ten bucks and worth it for the really hard to find part. I wish mine just leaked because that's easy to fix...broken handle is not so easy haha

I'll take the doner stove!
@@Freedom__-xd5bx which stove? The brown 400?
@@0Regula0 yeah man! Still has a few good parts.
OK, have to make a few comments: it's NORMAL for the burner to stay on when you shut down... burning off the fuel in the generator (the pipe). Try switching the lever to "up" when you turn off, that should shorten the time it takes to burn off. This stove was designed for no alcohol gasoline, but Coleman fuel (or Crown at Walmart) is way cleaner than gasoline (but gas is great too). This thing is burning blue, so just use white gas, Coleman or Crown, and enjoy, cook for your family. That's what it's all about! Glad you stopped to rescue this lovely piece of hardware!
Thanks for the comments! Yeah it's normal to burn for about 20 seconds on white gas (coleman fuel, crown fuel etc) as this is just what's left in the generator tube. I have a few videos in my channel and the only stove so far that just shuts off is the m1950...the rest in this suitcase type stove take 20 to 30 seconds to stop. A kampkook LCS-41 I have in another video takes 30 seconds to light and about the same to shut off...completely normal
Also have tried the trick with turning the stove back on with the mixture turned to "light" and after a few tests it didn't shorten the time. I think this one since it's 3 burner has a really like fuel manifold...so that's a place gasses are still in vapor form. If I open one of the other burners while it's shutting down it goes off immediately
Beautiful. Now cook breakfast for your family!
Nice, just found one at an estate sale. I think the little wire thing holds up the grills when you light it as well as a brace if you lay the lid back flat.
Do you want to sell it?
Never thought to sell it, as with many things its more fun to collect than to sell in my opinion haha
Guess I still owe you 50 bucks...
