Great man, I love vinyl. But say, this specific version I uploaded, isn't on the records, is it? I have Adam Freelands Album "Now & Them", which features "Mindkiller". This is a track similar to this, but without the California Soul sample and less psychedelic over all. Theres also a drum n bass remix by "Origin unknown" on the 12" single, which is really nice. Also, Ken Ishii's "Future in Light" album features a track "Creative State", which is similar to his track in Rez called "Creation state of the art" or so. Check it out.
@@asnierkishcowboy What version of the song technically is this one? The one on the "Rez Infinite" album doesn't have one of the main sounds in it, and it happens to be the one I really like lol. I'm not sure if it's mashed with another song or not
@@deluxebucket Its a rip right from the Ps2 game disc. So, this version hasnt been released on any media to my knodledge.

Awesome rip of the full track! Somehow this song takes the best part of California Soul and makes it 10 times better- I just did a comparison and both are good but the track is legendary! Always think of that drop when I think of the game.

There was another song with that title, it sampled the movie “Dune”
Referencing Dune with "Fear is the mind killer" is appropiate, since this game has that Dune's "slow blade" approach to difficulty; you're blasting away, getting that dopamine from every 8X next layer sound, and then suddenly you're getting your ass handed to you by missiles that you SHOULD have seen coming.

This song has so many goosebumps moments. 3:17 might be my favourite, but 9:11 comes close. Along with one of the most epically designed stages in a videogame, ever... this is one of gaming's peak moments.

@@yellow13_ Probably not. The song is created by Adam Freeland and contains sampels from Marlena Shaw's "Carlifornia Soul", so theres loads of potential for copyright problems. BTW. I make music.

The sample is California Soul by Ashford & Simpson, Gang Starr and Freeland used the same source.
