The Jews in that area by 1948 were there entirely legally. They took not one inch of land by force (unlike Arabs). Some Jews had been there forever. Jerusalem was majority Jewish in 1850. Then more Jews started emigrating back in the 19th century LEGALLY as authorized by the Ottomans When they got there, they bought and paid for land. This continued LEGALLY under the British Mandate. Large numbers of Arabs also immigrated to that area during the British Mandate i.e. they werent all there for 1000 years. But yes, Arabs greatly outnumbered Jews in British Palestine, and that's why they were allotted 90% of British Palestine in 1948. But they think they own everything. They dont.
