Casino is superior for so many reasons.... 1. Narration: Goodfellas is narrated by a rat and the rats wife... Pescis narration in particular is superior to Liota. 2. Casting: Ray Liota as Henry Hill was not at all an accurate portrayal in contrast to Joe Pesci as Tony Spilotoro which might be the greatest casting choice of all time. 3. NIcky vs Tommy: Nicky wins 3-0 via head in a vice. 4. Accuracy: Casino is the more factually accurate film, this is undisputable. 5. Sharon Stone: Hands down one of the greatest performances of the 90s, Karen doesn't hold a candle. 6. Soundtrack: I'd put the soundtrack for Casino up against any other hit movie from the 90s. 7. Dialogue: The meeting in the desert between DeNiro and Pesci alone is one of the greatest most realistic exchanges of dialogue ever captured on film imho. Not a single conversation or argument in Goodfellas is comparable to this scene. 8. The card landing on the button: I mean come on... that scene is literally magic. The sets are impeccable. 9. Wardrobe: Everything from Lester Diamond to Ginger, but Leftys suits are the chefs kiss 10. Do I really need to keep going? Lotta holes in the desert.

The remake was a stock, too serious, "realistic" movie without anything remotely memorable about it. Remove the name and nobody would know it even existed.

In my opinion both movies are great and classics.

They’re both great movies but this is how I look at it. As a child Terminator 2 is vastly superior, but a part of becoming an adult is acknowledging that Terminator 1 is the better movie.

Terminator 1984 is meant to be a sci-fi horror film. Meanwhile Terminator 2 Judgement day went for a light approach. Terminator 2 was mostly an action-packed movie.

Lord of the Rings is one of the greatest if not THE greatest work of fiction in the world, unmatched even today, To say Tolkien was a genius is an understatement. He breathed new life into the fantasy genre and paved the way for other stories and franchises, Even harry Potter. To compare the two is simply out of the question, there is honestly no competition. Lord of the Rings is The Spitfire to Harry Potters Paper airplane.

Honestly, I don't think I'd hate either Richard Dryfuss or Patrick Swayze in the original... but NOBODY would have been as good as Arnold, especially the part where the lack of atmosphere is sucking their eyes out and whatnot - the noises Arnold makes are so damn classic. 😂😂

For me, Mark Wahlberg makes The Departed a better film than Infernal Affairs. This coming from an Asian dude who knows Marky Mark beat the crap out of Asian people in real life.

I completely forgot there _was_ a Total Recall remake, but I shouldn't be surprised. That was the era of crappy remakes.

Craig portrayed the perfect bond. Charming and charismatic, while also looking like he could kill you in an instant and that's where he has the edge. Brosnan seems soft in comparison to Craig

Nobody laughed when people where in danger in TDAT, the heroes did everything they can to survive AND the girl helped a lady who forgot her purse in a taxi during a tsunami. That was so brave of her!

I prefer TDAT. The heroes are likable especially the father who tries EVERYTHING to save his son and friends, the effects are good, there's no evil rich peoples or crazy guy who always say '' The world will end, you'll see! '' The music and ambiance are great. An excellent movie 😄

I dont blame anyone for taking T2 over the original but i would have to disagree, when i was a kid Aliens, T2, shit even Matrix Reloaded were my favorite movies over the original, and even MI2, it wasnt until i rewatched some of these movies in my 20s (previously 7 to age 12) where grasped why the originals were better, Alien being my top sifi horror movie of all time. At the end of the day people will most likely prefer the more light hearted movies that check off most or all of the boxes (without losing quality of course, aka the mcu and fast and furious shit show) but i cant take those over the darker, most horror driven movies. 1. Terminator 2. Terminator 2 3. Terminator Salvation (this movie was bonkers in theaters, great experience) 4. Terminator 3 I dont fucking count the others, pos garbage

Saw the remake first, watched the original second. The original is much more memorable, especially that exploding lady head: “Get ready for a surprise!”(Blows up) I barely remember how it went in the remake besides the fact they replace the exploding head with a holographic collar.

Fury Road is pure genius, and obviously from the same brain; just ten times bigger! But, for me, The Road Warrior is still the better film. It's simpler, but it all boils down to Max. Tom Hardy is an amazing character actor, but Mel Gibson was a leading actor, who is just okay in the first Mad Max, but just fucking KILLS it, in this film! Such a dramatic step-up, in a universe that also jumps up enormously.

All the real ones know Casino is the better film….its for “the grown folks”😊

Batman Forever feels like an actual movie. Sure it’s goofy and corny, but it had plenty of heart and really made me care about Bruce Wayne as a character. Batman and Robin is fun for memes, but as an actual film, it just doesn’t feel like one. It feels like a Saturday morning cartoon come to life.

Michael Bay's recent movies are fun. Zack Snyder's recent movies are a chore to sit through. So in terms of recency bias, I'd go with Bay. Though overall, I do like both directors.

The ending of Dune 2 (2024) sucks in comparison to the final knife fight in Dune (1984). I prefer Feyd Rautha gets stabbed in the throat and then Muad Dib explode his chest with the power of his voice as his heretic Sister screams maniacally, but maybe I’m just a boomer from 1984.

I found the Terminator soundtrack more iconic and memorable than the Terminator 2. Arnie sold the T800 much better in The Terminator than T2. T2 had the most perfect ending for the franchise.

Love Jackie Chan, but Jet Li was my favorite actor as a kid. Had all his movies. Thought he was badass.

Caesar vs Koba

The original surpasses the God awful remake in every way, shape, and form. It's not even a contest.

I really enjoyed both movies! Sly's version had Block War, the Cursed Earth, The Angel Clan, and an ABC Warrior! Karl's version had Writing & Grit! I wouldn't watch Karls version with my neice it's too real. Sly's version however is more of a comic suitable for kids 😊

I watched the remake out of curiosity. I liked it. 2012 was more believable. That futuristic world is not as farfetched as colonizing Mars. The characters were more serious. The action scenes and fight scenes were better choreographed. Colin Farell is not as charismatic and bigger than life as Arnold Schwarzenegger but he's a better actor, he's quicker and more agile, and blends in better as a secret agent. Sharon Stone was hotter than Kate Beckinsale but Kate is far more badass, athletic, and take charge. I like Jessica Biel's girl nextdoor image more than Rachel Tichotin's sleazy and demure image. That said I still have to go with 1990. The star power of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone, even with less screen time than Kate Beckinsale, is just too great. Plus 1990 didn't NEED to be as realistic as 2012. 1990 was just more fantastic, entertaining, and memorable.
