Heads up to anyone playing gears of war 1 in 2024: There is a guy named Bart that hosts games. Dude is straight trash. If you're the best player and you're not on his team, he will kick you out of the game so that he can get a win. (And he still never wins) i've had it happen to me and several others. Don't join his game.

Gears 1 multiplayer was ahead of its time. Glitchy yes.. broken.. a little. The shotgun battles though were what made this game amazing. I see people talking about gears 2 a lot and wonder what they are smoking.. gears 2 since launch you would constantly glitch around the map.. and it was never fixed.

The first week or two of this game being released everyone thought the sniper rifle sucked. Then quickly there were hundreds of montages of GoW Sniping.

Gears 1 just hits different. I still play to this day. Nice to see people still have love for this gem.

7:17 Love how the lag made you roll in place to celebrate the head shot. After playing Gears 3 multiplayer *very* casually and jumping into the Battlefield series, I forgot how intense it is! I'd love to see Gears and shooters with a similar level of competitiveness (other than the obvious Counterstrike) make it big again!
