We had decades old family diamonds set into my engagement ring. 4 small marquise stones and with a round in center - taken from earrings. When traveling a a few years ago, one of the marquise side diamonds came loose & was lost (😢). I was immensely sad about it and disappointed. After many months not wearing it, finally, it was taken to have that stone replaced. It took maybe 2 months or so to get it back… and it no longer seemed as spectacularly brilliant and wondered if possibly the large round … was swapped for another. 😕

This is pretty good information, but I need to add something to it. You have to look at the font very carefully in the GIA portion of the number inscribed on the stone. Recently there are fraudulent, inscriptions being discovered. You also need to compare the dimensions on the stone and the notations and make sure the stone you have in your hand matches that lab report. The number by itself is no longer sufficient to confirm the stone is genuine.

People value diamonds because of the idea put out by DeBeers that they are scarce. They hold them all…mining included. Man sets value in everything we buy. Cost is not divine. With that said, value on earth is “created” by whether something is accessible to everyone or if the quantity is limited. The more limited or rare, the more expensive. Oil, gold, diamonds, housing, etc are all controlled in quantity to make a few people excessively wealthy. It’s an evil game that’s all about making money. Same with healthcare in America…is a money making business. It’s not about would it should be about…making people healthier/saving lives.

Diamonds are a scam. Get the lab gem then use the money you save to put down on a house.

Calling the lab grown diamonds isn't exactly true. there exactly the same just one is made in nature and one is made in a lab there made of the same stuff under similar conditions I feel your just trying to discredit lab stones because there killing the prices of natural diamonds. I can garuntee if u took a natural and a lab without the ingravings on them 99.9% of people wouldn't be able to tell the difference for sure without high end several £ pound equipment
