Martha Argerich & Fou Ts'ong (1995)
RIP Fou Ts'ong (10 March 1934 - 28 December 2020) Celebrated Chinese pianist and pedagogue, also the third prize winner at the 1955 Chopin Competition. I remember hearing that Martha Argerich played for Fou Ts'ong in preparation for the 1965 Chopin Competition, which she went on to win. Here he is playing in a four-hand recital and solo with Martha Argerich in 1995. From a news report in Februa...
Le passage à 22:23 est deep !
✨❤️✨
Se andimo oltre vatelo sapere
Piano and orchestra very well balanced. The recording is perfect. Now the orchestra, the conductor, and Martha Argerich are insurmountable. “If music be the food of love, play on” William Shakespeare' or Martha Argerich?
i think the correct date is 1 June, 1970, Théâtre de Beaulieu, Lausanne. www.argerich.jp/1.6.1970-E.htm
does anyone know how to find the names of orchestra members
❤…grande Martha d a sempre

Come on! Not True! More colorful beautiful piano sound than Argerich and Freire=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Radu Lupu Artur Rubinstein Vladimir Ashkenazy Grigory Sokolov! More genius than Argerich and Freire=Sviatoslav Richter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Stanislav Bunin Maria Grinberg! More powerful louder than Argerich and Freire=Mikhail Pletnev! The Second Loudest ever was Lazar Berman! The 3rd Loudest was Erwin Nyiregyhazi! Horowitz his technique attack better than Argerich's or Freire's technique!!

Maravilloso
The last movement has some very difficult octave-playing and, trickier still, runs in thirds: both hands playing ultra-fast thirds up two octaves and at 46:09 four octaves of thirds in the right hand with an accompaniment in the left in a different rhythm. He plays the two octave runs perfectly, better than many of the big names. But the four octave run at about 46 minutes is not in thirds, but the less demanding occasional third (using the thumb). So nothing outrageously amazing there. What matters to me personally is the opening octave-playing of the main theme in the last movement: he plays it perfectly, and many if not most pianists don’t seem to me to get that essential bit right.
Even formidable as her, I can notice that she was nervous at the very beginning with breathing so deeply,
I was just a twenty-one year old, dumb-ass senior in college when she did this performance. If someone had asked me then if I knew who Martha Argerich was I would probably have inquired as to which sorority was she in. I’m a lot better now though, lol. This lady is a stone cold miracle. That she is still playing at this level at the age of eighty-three is mind boggling. She’s also one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.
I'm only 15 minutes into this concerto, but it feels as though hours have gone by, so dense and full is the music. Martha's playing has had me on the verge of tears a number of times so far ...
Amazing!

First time I Heard Martha's mistakes at the introduction...
Martha Argerich, you are so incredible, art is in all you❤ im so gratefull for the opportunity tu watch this video and heavenly interpretation.
He's lucky he lived to be 86, with Covid being the thing that ended his life and not lung cancer from all that smoking! He was one of those great but underrated pianists.
Grande Martha Argerich, meno che trentenne. Molto bello.
Simply beautiful!!!!❤
Otherworldly! The emotional breadth from deepest pathos to sublimest of peace. I couldn't tell if it was the music, the musicians, even Chopin himself. I made a spectacle of myself, luxuriating in such blissful beauty, happy sad and delighted. I thank first my dear departed Papi for my first live concert, almost 70 y.o., a gift from God of a near prefect aural memory for Chopin, and the wonder of RUclips and the thoughtful person who shared this treasure. How else could we hear this again and again?
Totally perfect in every way. Congrats.🎉⭐️🎶🎹🙏🏻

ohh.. the time music was real, you didnt have to be a chinese monkey showing your legs and making horrifics face spasmus to pretend you like the music.... these days life was real..
