Here! FYI, I got a hair up my a$$ and I'm going to tailavons and Flaperons on the F35 before this thing even goes into the air. I'm never going to let setup (or lack there of) cause a crash again. My first plane was the F35, flew it twice with no issues, then the crash came when I was failing at doing mixing, and didnt undo all the changes. I don't know if I'll ever own a prop plane. I figure, start out on the hard stuff, survive, and build from there.

I got one about a week ago and in spite of rainy weather have been able to get 3-4 flights in. She is a great flier but has one negative for ME... she flies faster than the UMX Timber EVO that I'm used to flying. With each flight I've been getting more comfortable with her but it's not a relaxed flight like I get with my Timber.

Try to fly it closer to the camera. I'm thinking about buying the UMX Air Tractor. I like the 700mm size, and it seems like it's very visible and flies great. It'll be my fourth plane. I've got a Rage RC T-28, a Volantex Sport Cub 500, and an XK A260 Rare Bear. No simulators for me, but I'm a retired Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, & Flight Engineer. I like that plane but not the noise it makes. That's a fail for me. There are way better sounding EDFs out there. The Habu 50 mm sounds pretty good and flies great. Same for the Arrows 50mm Viper. Thanks for the video. Subbed.

One thing I've found on my UMX tail-draggers is that if I don't put something under the tailwheel to level the plane out when I power it up, the AS3X/SAFE will initialize with the slight nose up as level, and I end up having to push the nose down throughout the flight. I keep a plastic bowl in the car that is the right height to hold the tail up at level when prepping the planes to fly.

I dont know if all UMX planes come like this but the ones Ive had so far have the motor pointed slightly down and to the right and the rudders slightly right as well, but fly nice and straight. Have fun👍

Mind flew better as a glider as well. A glitched out above the ground and cost me 150 bucks not happy with this little airplane at all. Did you forget to program your safe switch ?

What an amazing video, I saw the plane at least 3 times!

Had my reservations when I purchased this, but it's flight capabilities made me a BELIEVER!

On a windy day (10-15mph) you can lower the flaps on this, and fly it with zero throttle.

If night flying's what you're into, I recommend the Eflite Ultrix 600, with the LED kit. You won't be disappointed, I definitely wasn't.

I’m on my second one and these things are way out as far as trim goes.

Can't help but enjoy flying when the kinks are all smoothed out. The EVO is mostly wing, so you're constantly watching the wind. The UMX P51 Voodoo on the other hand, will do acro in 15mph winds. It's a beast! You might consider adding one to your stables.

The Citation is real looker, especially at dusk. I think it has the same hardware in it that the A-10 does, and it likes to go FAST. My Citation needs replacing, she's done too many cartwheel landings. I should probably stop sipping while I fly....... Probably

The Air Tractor is a legit night flyer, but I gotta say, my favorite PM micro flyer is the UMX Twin Otter. 2 brushless motors, a full suite of LEDs, handles like it's on rails, & powered by a 800mah 1S battery. Cop one. You'll love it. Trust.

The A-10 is one of my favorites. I get 5mins onna 3S Spektrum 300. Glides better & climbs better with most of the junk in the trunk.

Got one of these coming & if I know myself, I'll be removing those wheels. Prolly add a few 2mm carbon rods, too. I know you won't stop till that flyers well dialed in. Also, most UMX RCs have safe set to work on the gear switch.

The Tractor is a good flying micro. If you wanna change up the aesthetic, consider making the entire top black, with wide vinyl tape, all the way back to the vertical stab. It's definitely a different look.

Did you auto bind your nx8 or did you program the plane in first, then bind? I auto binded my eflite f14 and despite what people told me it just wanted to climb 😂i had to fly it near stall to get it to almost flat spin in order to get her back to earth.

I know this video is a few months old, but I just got myself a UMX TT as my first RC plane. I've had it out 3 or 4 times and haven't crashed it yet. It looks pretty neat puttering around in the pattern. I think I need to adjust the elevator pushrod...mine doesn't go anywhere near that fast. You stopped flying after 5 minutes...my timer goes off after 5 minutes, but I can fly for almost 20 minutes before the battery cut-out stops powering the motor. Do you know what is going on? I like your channel. Unpretentious and you know how to fly!

I'm in North Carolina these bugs in this Southern heat are BRUTAL.

When I got mine the mechanical trim was way out. Like 16 turns on the turnbuckle out

I just bought one as my first ever RC plane. Your maiden flight looked a lot like my maiden flight...I touched the throttle and up it went! I had some trouble getting it down, too. I agree that its a trimming issue, but now its too windy to fly. Thanks for posting...it was very informative.

I liked the UMX Timber Evolution maiden flight at dusk near the church. There was a good story there. 😊

I’ve got one of these and it flys great. Two things - CG is way off with that 3S so far back and did you reset the rudder trim after the mechanical adjustment? With such a small, light plane the control surfaces all have to be aligned perfectly. Check all of them carefully. You’re a good pilot to handle that situation - several situations!

Maybe the landing gear made it a bit nose heavy? I may not have been the only one who said it is how it looks in the air that counts, but I did say it........Your skills as an RC pilot are second to none in my book. Sorry for the loss of your jet.
