Hello does it have a lot of vibrations and shaking while in use?
Hello! It is very lightweight - not a ton of vibrations… just a bit too loud for my liking.
How do you add a fill stitch to the patch?
Hello, I normally use fabric to fill my patch (I.e., appliqué). You may be able to click on to stitch artist one, the second role has the fill stitch. On the right hand side you may make adjustments to the fill stitch.
Thank you for this video! I'm new to sewing and the booklet was confusing me after I got through the first few steps.
Hello! Thank you for watching! Enjoying your new sewing hobby… it is addicting!
@@MzLelaPinkJourney 🤣 I've gathered so many projects with the fear of getting addicted once I actually started
How do I hit reverse
Hi! I have never actually backstitched using a serger. There are a few techniques used flip the fabric at the very end / corner of the last stitch to sort of lock the stitch. Not certain about a backstitch. Sorry.
Hi, how are you? How many need your help please I purchased stitch artist one, but I do not have all the features you have under the utilities. is that something extra you bought?
Hello, I’m well today thank you. *Which programs do you currently have under and Embrilliance? Some of what you are seeing may be because I have: -Essentials -Enthusiast -Merrowly -Stitch Artist 1. Wondering if perhaps this could possibly be the reason you were seeing a few more features within my video.
@@MzLelaPinkJourney I only have stitcher artist 1, I think you were using Merroly in the video
@@MzLelaPinkJourney I think under the utilities you clicked on a link that allows you to add a page edge that’s what I was trying to do like you didn’t get video, but I don’t know if that feature is in stitch artist 1
Okay. this info is taken directly from the Embrilliance webpage.. ---- Merrowly can automatically create a patch for anything on the design page. With a single menu selection (Utility > Add Patch Edge) you can automatically wrap the page designs in a custom shaped patch edge or a circle, rectangle or rounded rectangle (with adjustability).
@@MzLelaPinkJourney so is Merrowly an xtra features I need to purchase
Thank you for sharing! I have been seeking a travel-size machine, it also is soo cute🎈
It’s super lightweight and will be the perfect size I’ve needed for ease of taking to classes. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank , you. very helpful. However, after using it for no more than 2 months, it just spoiled . Lousy quality.
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching my video. Sorry to hear that about yours!!
I needed this, thank you!!!
You're so welcome! Thanks much for watching!
Hi, what type of material do you use to create the patches and what’s a good bonding agent that wash well for the back if not stitching?
Hi! I’ve used many items. Trail & error works best for me. This from Allstitch.com works well: •Blank Patch Material For Embroidery •Badge Magic Patch/Fabric Adhesive - Cut-To-Fit Sheet.
Wow!!! This is definitely a more intricate process than I knew! Thank you sharing! You rock!
You are welcome!
Exactly what I have been looking for as part of a project to create quilt labels. Thank you very much
So glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Do you put all bear pattern on your screen before cutting
Yes. I scan each of the pattern pieces prior to cutting fabric. *Unless the pattern piece is too large for the scan n cut mat.
Thank you
Keep in mind. I only scan the pattern once (use these electronically scanned pieces over & over again). *All of the pieces are now saved into my scan and cut system unless I delete them to make space or room for more down the line.
This video has made things so much simpler for me thank you
So glad to hear this!
For the arms and legs etc, how would you mirror image them please
Hello. In the menu section, I press the Object Edit function. The mirror button is on the second row in the middle.
This machine seems to work well, but is much louder than the Benina.
This is true.
What stabilizer do u use for embroidery
For this project I used Tear Away Embroidery Stabilizer.
do you know how to add a tackdown stitch to a patch design that doesnt have it?
Hi! Was your patch digitized by someone?
Is there difference between the mini m3 iron?
Hi! I am not sure of the differences… since I’ve only owned this iron and the regular size Oliso. The main reason I chose this one was because of the Tula Pink reference of colors. I’ve used it daily without issues.
Thank you for your detailed video on how to embroider a jean jacket in your BL Venture. Did you design this in Embrilliance Essentials? have the same machine but have not tried a design on a jean jacket…now I think I’m ready.
Very glad to know it was helpful! I am hopeful you’ll try it soon. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I just ordered mine after seeing your review!
Great! I am still using the iron (without any issues). It’s a pretty good one!
I have the mighty and a brother 1055x. I have followed this video but when i get to the 1st split screen, It gives me an error message saying “this embroidery frame cannot be used”. I researched and found that I needed to buy enthusiasts. I did and got the same results. I have $400 invested in this with no results. Can you advise me what is wrong?
Oh no! Couple things come to mind. -Check to make sure you have the latest update for the software. -I had to make sure that there “B-Arm” was attached to use the 14 x 14 jumbo hoop. -You might try a different design (one you’re already familiar with) just to make sure it’s not this actual design with an issue. -You might want to reach out to the Customer Support team at Embrilliance (they are a great resource)!
Your jacket is beautiful! What is the name of the font you used?
Hello! Thanks much for watching the video and leaving a comment. -I have check in the files for the exact fonts. *MY TRIBE: University Font *Est. 2024: Exotic Font.
What level of Embrillance software are you using? I am struggling trying to do a split large design with a different brand of software. I need a simple way to achieve a split design for 14 x 14 mighty hoop. I have the same embroidery machine as you do, you made it look easy.
I delayed this process because I thought it was way too difficult. It was super simple using Embrilliance. I believe you can do it with Essential. Follow the steps as shown inn the many RUclips videos… check multi-hoop or repostional hoop for the hoop size. I have a few modules. Essentials, Enthusiast, Merrowly, and Stitch A Artist 1. However, I’m almost sure I have read this can be accomplished using Essentials.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I downloaded a trial version of Embrillance Essentials and it looks like it may solve my problems. Thank you again!!
@@josephabate1179 Good luck! Please leave me an update. This will help others with the same question.
How many squares does it take to make a blanket?
Most likely would depend on the size of blanket or quilt you are wanting to make. I’m a beginner in this… I have made lap-sizes with as few as 15-20 or so shirts. I have seen king size quilts with 60+ shirts included (very large). Seems it depends on how large or small you’re wanting the finish.
Do you put the FF behind each square?
Yes. I add fusible stabilizer to each square. I like the stability it provides prior to sewing.
I saw something this big on someone’s jacket and was wondering what size hoop was used and this might be it!!! Thanks for sharing
My pleasure… thanks much for watching!
Thank you for such a a thorough video on this product. I want one super bad but I wasn't sure if it was for me, I think your video has helped me decide I love it lol. Thank you
It is pretty darned cool! Thanks so much for watching!
Are u using the a frame and not the b, does the machine recognize your frame
Hello. I am using the "A" Frame. I am not sure the machine will ever 'recognize' after-market hoops (hoops not made and sold by Babylock/Brother). I always use the 'trace' feature to ensure my design does not go outside of - or hit beyond the hoop area.
I have the M2, which to me is a piece of garbage You’re the only one so far that bothered to show us how this iron works when it’s actually ironing Fabric Everyone else just goes on and on about the features, and they never demonstrate the actual iron in use I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to wait until those steam buttons light up and you’re first finger on your right hand looked very awkward like you were resting on the on off button. Also, this iron should either be resting on that silicone pad, or you can place it on the heel just like the old days Sadly, this iron doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement from the M2, because the M2 only gives you steam when you press the buttons I have a mini Dritz iron and I don’t have to keep pressing any buttons. The steam is continuously available as soon as I start ironing the fabric. But thank you for at least put in the product to use And for anybody else, there are instructions on how to move the cord from the right hand side to the left hand side
Thanks for watching… appreciate the feedback & tips. I am not very interested in the steam portion - since I seem to continuously ruin irons while adding water for the steam features. *I keep a spray bottle near for this purpose. My right-hand pointer finger is out of wack. Currently dealing with trigger finger (extremely painful - it actually no longer works properly). The main reason I purchased this iron was because I really wanted to support the nice folks at local quilt shop near and also because it’s cute & pink!!
@@MzLelaPinkJourney oh, I’m so sorry that you are in pain. I didn’t realize that of course how would I know that right lol. Oliso says you can use half-and-half tapwater and distilled water but I really like the steam function coming from the iron. I also have a spritz bottle it’s just not the same. A new Fabric friend and I are going to a local quilt shop this afternoon as a matter fact, because yes, I want to support the local quilt shops. I get most of my fabric now from Sew Yeah quilting the online fabric sales don’t know if you’ve heard of them
Enjoy your trip thru local quilt shop… always an adventure!! I have chatted with the folks at Oliso regarding previous irons (more than I care to mention). Thanks much for the water tip! I have heard of Sew Yeah Quilting! I may give them a try soon. Have a great weekend!
@@MzLelaPinkJourney Saturday night 4 PM Pacific time they have another sale where the Fabric is seven dollars a yard. Charm packs are still $10 and I think the jelly rolls and the layer cakes are $30 but on Tuesday nights the fabric is $11 and 75 a Yard and the jelly rolls and the layer cakes are $40 But if you buy five or more items, you don’t have to pay shipping, but shipping is only five bucks anyway So I guess you’re not the only one that’s had issues contacting or dealing with OLiso. Still love my 30-year-old black and decker regular iron. Or it could be 25 years old but I know it’s at least 20 lol.
Wow! Thank you for sharing details on all of the upcoming deals in the shop!!

Hello! Thanks much for watching. I am using Silhouette studio business edition. *This info was mentioned right around the 2:05 mark).
I now have a better understanding of how to make adjustments to the scanned pattern before cutting my fabric. Thank you Mz Lela for making this video!
I am so very glad you found the video to helpful! Happy cutting & sewing!
One more thing Mz Lela, I would very much appreciate a video on using the PDF files please!
It will be a couple weeks before I am back in my creative space.
I printed this PDF pattern using an Epson ET-2850 regular inkjet printer (according to the designers instructions). Then placed the print out onto the scan n cut.
@@MzLelaPinkJourney thank you for your reply. I understand perfectly about how often you can upload videos. I know it takes time. My hope is that in the near future, as you get known, thst it will all pay off for you. I will study what you just sent about the PDF pattern. Thanks again!
Okay. My machines are packed for a relocation - otherwise, I would do a video this week. I’ll need to wait a bit for now.
Hello! I am checking in to ask how your Scan n Cut journey is coming along these days?
I have joined quite a few Facebook groups that is using the brother scan n cut so on each one I am a member of, I will list your name for others to watch, enjoy and subscribe.
Hey... how kind of you. Thanks!!
My Lela Pink, I am so thankful to find your video! I have owned my brother n scan for months and practically given up learning how to use it. I really only bought it for scanning patterns and cutting them out. I could not find ANYBODY doing this and now I’ve found you!! How did you learn how to use the brother for cutting patterns? I am hoping I can just put your video on and do it one step at a time following your movements. I am so excited to try! I am subscribing to your RUclips, will like and comment on your videos. I can’t wait to see to see all of your videos. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and explain your work!
I am so happy you've found the content to be helpful! I purchased the Scan n Cut mainly for pattern cutting - I am extremely new to using the machine. I watched many videos until I could get the hang of it. I am sure you'll get the hang of it quickly!! Thank you for taking the time to watch & comment!
Hello, I am writing from Turkey. We don't have a video here on drawing embroidery patterns as clear and precise as yours. Can you please help me with this embroidery drawing or send me the link of this embroidery drawing program? Thank you.
Hello! The embroidery patch design can be found at www.Embrilliance.com. Search for Merrowly Patch. Take care.
Thank you for this video! Merry Christmas.
Happy holidays!
the problem I had was trying to get the pattern lower - you said to use the camera function - ready to try it out now - thank you
I am hoping you've found your solution.
I don't understand how you got the picture in your machine.
Which picture are you referring to?
The Santa picture that you are embroidering.
The embroidery file of Santa was purchased online. After purchasing online, I downloaded the file to my computer - then loaded it onto a USB stick. Once the file was loaded onto the USB stick, I removed the USB stick from my computer and placed the USB into the USB drive on the embroidery machine. This allows the file to be shown on the screen of the embroidery machine whereas I was able to select the Santa file letting the machine know I was ready to stitch.
Thank you! You give great instructions! I've had my flourish 2 years and I'm scared to use it. I haven't found good instructions to do a project.
Glad it was helpful. Hoping you begin using it soon!
I am trying to figure out what to do about my Oliso Iron...generally is has been a disappointment but I do love a few features. this is my 3rd one is about 5 years...one was replaced under warranty. But I find they get terribly dirty and do not clean up well, they periodically spit out water as well as little bits of black rock-like things. ...all over my good fabric. Now that my 3rd one is doing this stuff I am at a loss. Can anyone offer advice??
I’m on my 3rd replacement. I’m at loss for offering advice on the Oliso beyond contacting the company directly. They are pretty quick with advice.
Thx for making a video on this. We needed to see .
No problem!
Embrillance software and what other software do i need? Do i need Merrowly and Enthusiast?
