Yeriel, Even though I’m enjoying all of these new videos, “There is a time and a season for every purpose under Heaven”, and sadly, right now I need to dig deep within my heart to tell you how much it hurts me to receive current details about your ever-present condition. I can’t say that I am surprised by the somewhat clearer details, but seeing it in writing (just now) is …. well … I can’t find the words. As I have previously mentioned, it is impossible for me to know what comments are appropriate when I don’t know your day-to-day condition. It is absolutely nerve-wracking, never knowing what to say. I always want to be ‘in tune’ with your situation. (no pun intended) God has been so very good to me, and my prayer time with Him always brings peace to me. What I have learned over my lifetime is that if I pray for others, I never have any need to pray for myself. I don’t have an exact scripture to explain why; It just works! I have something I want to share with you. I have never done this with anyone before, but under the circumstances I feel I should tell you this. I pray for your health; I pray for your everlasting faith in God; I pray for your love of God to always light the way for others; BUT... I ‘HOPE’ (not pray) that you will always allow me to be even a very small part of ‘YOUR Christian Walk with God’. [From time to time I think of things that I would love to share with you, but this is not the venue for doing it. Would you please contact me? My address is in my channel information.] For now, let me say … A sanctified life, lived only for Him, has a healing power like no other. Because of this … I have faith that you will be restored ‘in His time’. I think I will end with a portion of Philippians 4. All of Philippians 4 is wonderful but I refer to this potion most often. … whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. I eagerly await the day when the language barrier will crumble, and the ‘redeemed of the Lord’ will all experience the full joy of praising God in unison. This is a great example of what I speak. I would be thrilled to join in praise at an event like this, but when the music stops, the reality we live with, is that language and culture can still make it very difficult to share the one thing we have in common. About a year ago I found someone on RUclips who showed me just how limited my Christian life had been to that point. (Yes Yeriel, it was you.) Now I have found a burden in my heart for an entire nation of people whose language I don’t understand. I get many RUclips recommendations every single day for Korean Christian content that I am certain would be a blessing ‘if only I could understand the language’. It is frustrating but is still beneficial because it forces me to always strive to reach a higher level in Christian fellowship. What I have learned from all of this is that when we know God, our yearning to find new ways to praise Him, never ends! Thank YOU, Yeriel, for the part you have “played”! This is quite a surprise. For me it is almost like a musical Christmas card with a much-appreciated bit of news. I was guessing that you had moved to a new location but had no way to know if that location was across the street or across the country. Judging from the time of day of some of your uploads, and time stamps on my comment notifications, I am not even sure what continent you are on. You do seem to have friends all around the world. Anyway … the point of this overly lengthy preface is … hearing that you are no longer in NYC, is a relief to hear. I would love to know the details to confirm that it truly is a good thing (from your viewpoint as well). You previously mentioned that you have others who help you out on occasion. Is that still the case? Equally important … have you found a good fellowship of likeminded believers? I am always confident that God is watching over you. He loves you every bit as much as he does me. He loves us both without limits! I’m just itching for an opportunity to be involved. Yeriel, This is a surprisingly good recording! Really! Considering the timeline (2011) I would actually like to know the equipment and recording environment involved. Way back (when dirt was brand new), I did some semiprofessional recording, so I know even with great equipment, good results are not a sure thing. The video in this, is of course not up to current standards, but good for its time, and the audio is extraordinary for any nonprofessional 2011 equipment. [I am also curious if you are behind the camera or somewhere in the shot. I did spot your mother (I think) but I won’t tell anybody.] O Holy Night is in some ways a top 20 Christmas song. BUT … To be done properly, it requires a choir because not everyone is blessed with a vocal range great enough to satisfy the score. This performance fits the ticket. Thanks for sharing it. It took several viewings of this upload for me to decide what type of comment to leave. I’m not at all familiar with the story ‘Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence’, but I understand it to only be fictional. I have also never heard the music score, so I have no opinion about it either. The good news (about this video) is that I know ‘just a little bit’ about the young lady playing the violin. That alone makes it enjoyable beyond words! It has been just a little over a year since I found this channel and it has been a true joy every single day! True joy come to me whenever I see the love of God which shines brightly in those who know Him. So Yeriel … I have never taken much interest in what ‘is in the past’, but this video is an exception. It is really nice to see how much you love to play, both then and now! I might even be just a tad jealous that I wasted my youthful days playing the saxophone. The ‘sax’ was never a challenge; I never practiced (ever), yet quickly advanced to first chair. As I am discovering as I watch you play, the violin requires dedication, motivation/passion and of course ‘skill’. I never had to deal with those elements. 😊 Today I learned something new about the violin after viewing this video. I was going to figure out how tall you are by using your bow as a reference for scale. (At about 1:09 into this video, you had the bow held vertically at your side.) Well, I’m sure you know the flaw in my plan. Yeah … it turns out there are 7 different standard lengths. Who knew! (Yeah … you did.)😊 Thanks again for all the effort you put into ‘your calling’. I know your situation is not exactly as you expected your life would be right now, but God doesn’t make mistakes. Always remember … It is easy to give thanks when everything is going smoothly, but when you show the same ‘joy of the Lord’ when things are not well, even unbelievers will want to know what makes you different. Interestingly … most translations use either the word ‘harp’ or ‘lyre’ but apparently that is an assumption based on the timeline of its origin. The purest translation simply reads ‘stringed instrument’. I very much doubt that any particular instrument needs to be used, so I cast my vote for the violin! 😊 Soli Deo Gloria

Well Yeriel! How nice it is to know you are still thinking about us! It is heartwarming to know you are still determined to share your faith no matter how great the challenge has become! I am truly thankful for your unwavering enthusiasm. I stopped doing both Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers a great many years ago. Romans 14:5 One man regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. In my situation, both occasions have been completely devoid of any Christian meaning, and I greatly prefer distancing myself from what they mean to most people today. Yeriel. I do miss your worshipful music but so much more, I miss just knowing how you are getting along. It is a major lesson in both patience and trust (for me) to go such long intervals between your updates. Through your hardship God is working not only in your life but in mine as well. I can’t help but feel sad at times, thinking how your life has changed. You play so beautifully, and you use that gift in the best possible way! Sometimes it seems like our prayers are not being answered, where in fact, it only because we don’t see the process God has chosen. We always need to rest in the knowledge that He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”. Ephesians 3:20 In the story of the death of Lazarus even the faithful felt that Jesus had let them down. They had a predetermined window of time after which they gave up hope, only to discover that an even greater proof of both Jesus’s ability and desire to restore their loved one, was about to happen! Astonishingly, Jesus spoke of Lazarus like he was only sick. That says a lot about how differently God views our circumstances, versus our human prospective. In some ways I too am like those who had their faith tested by the death of Lazarus. It pains me to have to ‘wait for God’s moment in time’ to restore you to health, but I continue to pray for you, knowing that God loves for you is without limits! I (just as you) hope every single day that your situation passes, such that you are completely healed. Even as little as I know about you, you are among the most compassionate Christians I have known in my entire lifetime. If there is ever anything I can do for you, please let me know. Blessed Assurance brings back many childhood memories. In fact … it was without a doubt among my dad’s top 20 hymns. When my dad filled in for our assigned pastor (whenever he was gone on vacation), Blessed Assurance was often times one of the 3 hymns my dad would choose for the service. Our family was part of a small Presbyterian collective of probably around 25-30 families, and most of those families were traditional farmers with wives who actually prioritized raising their children. Sadly, those times have almost vanished! Even so, I am so thankful I was blessed to be born into a quite favorable environment. The magnificent hymns we sang back then were a prevailing influence. But clearly, God has guided my steps in countless ways. Beautiful hymns of praise were just one piece of the puzzle. Praise the Lord for He is worthy! Soli Deo Gloria
