What tackle wete you using for this trip

Having hunted my own giant leopard in May of 2023, in Zimbabwe, I really enjoyed this video. It was an extremely well made video. I completely agree with this hunter, Frank Cean, as I thoroughly enjoyed every second of my hunt. The nights in the blind were intense and magical and being part of the entire baiting process and participating in building the blinds was so enjoyable as well. Perhaps my favorite hunt in my lifetime of amazing hunts. I remain in contact with my great PH, Bruce Conje, on a frequent basis and look so forward to photos from his continual adventures all across Zimbabwe, including the Zambezi Valley where this hunt took place. For those considering a leopard hunt, do it! You will have a once-in-a lifetime type experience!

We had a big problem with an ele cow in the Luangwa, nearly turned the bloody truck over , she had to get the good news , a big **** up

This guy is a complete JOKE... first he misses by THREE FEET... then he shoots a rock, thinking it was a buffalo, so clearly he was just lobbing a bullet into anything without identifying the target. He ends up saying "one shot, one kill"... but takes two on that animal, and he doesn't count all his stupid misses. He is a damn clown.

Man people hunting I've seen so many videos of people hunting animals, especially leopards Rhinos, Hippos, crocs, kudos, wildebeest African elephants, Zebras, etc. It's truly amazing indeed, guys. Now even Warthogs with is more amazing.

if the bait was placed further out of the water up on the bank, maybe 15 feet, wouldn't that give more opportunities for a shot?

Stepping on Sticks? No Cammo (tiger stripe/ M180) , No face paint, No ghillie (make one to fit) , No scent block (stink) heads snap like chickens (seen and spooked) --- things to show improvement IMO.

These wishlist Tiger Fish are incredible but I must admit the 43 degrees on that one day early- truly amazed me. I know parts of Africa can even have snow capped mountains etc, but with all the sun and green water grasses it really is amazing array of temperature and habitats! Crocs and monitors active! Wow!

Loved seeing them use an old Rhodesian map to plan their Leopard hunt!

Think of our brave African ancestors who armed only with sharpened sticks and stones, 100,000 years ago, and in the last 2000 years the likes of the Masai warriors with spears and dry grass shields who took on lions to defend themselves and their livestock. Manly courage personified. I make no comment on today’s trophy hunters who have the immense advantage of powerful rifles over the lion.

It’s always awesome to see my great grandpa go hunting! Because of his knee I haven’t been able to go out hunting with him except once while turkey hunting. Great job my favorite papa!

I was fortunate to hunt the Luangua Valley a few years ago. I got 2 buff and 2 hippo - all 1-shot kills (I got 1 hippo as it was on the run at 120yds by breaking its cervical vertebrae). The secret to success is: 1) Use a good quality projectile: this will greatly decide upon whether you take a trophy home or to wave it good-bye as it disappears into the sunset! NOTHING is worse than the culmination of all your efforts - planning, expense, training, getting there, hunting for days etc - is to be let down in the end by the projectile!! (I swear by Woodleigh 500gr RNSN and FMJs in my 458 Win Mag.) 2) KNOW the POI of your ammunition at different ranges. I reload a set load for my 458: this ensures group consistency = accuracy. 3) With point 2, you should then practise until you can shoot ACCURATELY out to reasonable distances. 4) The preceding culminates in KNOWING your rifle: to handle it competently and confidently. 5) Know the anatomy (in 3D) and anatomical landmarks (on the hide) of your intended game to place the projectile exactly where you want it. (From the angle presented to you, visualise the heart and then pretend using a knitting needle to hit it from your position. Where the "needle" intersects the skin is precisely where you want your projectile to enter). 6) Lastly, and most importantly, you should master all this BEFORE that first step onto African soil. Enjoy your hunt, and best of luck to you!! 👍

I heard your comments about fenced areas and I have to disagree. The reason they fence is to allow hunting year-round. If low fence you have a season, if high fence you own the animals. A 50 to 100 square mile fenced area you do not pen them to a fence. You seldom see the fence. I have been in no fence or low fence in the Okavango and Kalahari and found it way easier to get close to animals than in fenced areas. I would say it is easier to take animals in a no fence area than a fenced area. I have made 14 trips to Africa my longest was over five months. So not just a one trip novice. I do not even bring the animals back I do not need to show them off. The hunt is in the moment not a trophy on the wall or a video. I do not hunt dangerous game they are much easier than the plains game. They do not run at firsts site they usually come closer. Not trying to deceive anybody this is my experience.

shooting from a car isn't the same as a proper hunt
