Most EFFICIENT rotary set up for Diode Lasers! Featuring The New Atomstack Ace Pro V2 (A20 Pro V2)
Are you ready to upgrade your Rotary setup you have been struggling with? For the cost of some plywood or MDF you can completely change the way you use your rotary. I got so frustrated trying center the laser over my rotary projects, stacking things up under my laser to fit large jugs on my rotary, and feeling like my laser was on house arrest, only allowed out for rotary jobs. So when I upgraded to the new Atomstack Ace Pro V2 I decided it was time for a complete overhaul of my rotary setup. The baseplate that holds the Rotary firmly in place makes the need to square up the rotary to the laser is a thing of the past. My new rotary leg blocks lock my laser into place and allow me to rise ...

Laser engraving office/work space tour, ways to stay organized and utilize your time
Hey, Willow had a question for you cause you know Lightburn so well> do you know if you can run Lightburn on a IPAD.
You are doing a great job don’t change a thing
Wow I appreciate it!! Thank you
Hi Thanks for your vid, it's great ! I have an xTool S1 since one month and i'm running it with lightburn and still facing this problem with engraving and cutting order ... Just for people to know, this is what the xTool support answer according to this bug after i sent pictures, and gcodes examples : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Customer, Thank you for your letter. Sorry to keep you waiting. We do not recommend you to use Lightburn. LightBurn is a third-party software not developed by xTool. It has a different logic for file transmission, Gcode processing, etc., compared with XCS. Lightburn's processing method is to engrave patterns while transferring information. XCS software transfers all gcode files to the SD card before processing, and the problem you mentioned will not occur. Software: xTool Creative Space:www.xtool.com/pages/software We will close the ticket after 2 days. If you have any questions, you can contact me again or open a new ticket. We will reply to you as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks ... picked up a few pointers...
Awesome!! I love hearing that!
Ok ,youve got a fork lift❤
Borrowed a forklift from a friend lol I man handled that thing fo show!
Question: how accurate is the saved centreline after the riser legs are lifted? Do you need to recalibrate after every height change?
Great question! But as long as everything is fitting snug, which it should as long as you don’t have a different Kerf offset or the material your using is different. But basically if everything is fitting snug it shouldn’t have to be recalibrated
It really is so hard to do!! I delete more than I record!
Congrats Em
Thank you🤗
congratulations
Thank you 🙏🏻
Congratulations on the new laser, well deserved!
Thank you so much! I’m so excited about it😭
Fantastic Video! Great resources. I will be following for sure. What kind of profit are you looking at? How much do you sell the hats for vs using Leatherette?
I keep all my prices the same with leather, leatherette, and Acrylic. However I think you could charge a little more if you wanted to, I just want to keep it as simple as possible for my customers. I basically price my hats to where I am good with the price for any material and if I use cheaper materials like leatherette I considers it a bonus. I only charge more for two layer patches
Wow! Very well organized. Nice!
Thank you I try to keep it as nice as possible for when customers come over. I think a nice work space give off a professional appearance.
are you over 21 😂😂😂😂
I'm nrw to laser engraving. I didn't know they engraved in color or did i miss something?
You missed something lol the material is layered. So the laser engraves layers off to show each color!
@@WyldeWillow okay. Would like to see a video on this prosses.
What is the thickness of the acrylic do you use?
My S1 does the same thing producing triangles instead of rectangles when I tried to do a material test using Lightburn. The test array in xTool Creative Space works just fine. I subscribed after seeing the tiny little square.
Ya it’s a light burn issue I think! So annoying because I use lightburn mostly. And thank you 🙏🏻
Just started following based on Spicer Design recommendation. Nice channel. Looking forward to watching more videos.
Oh so awesome! Thanks for giving me a follow! And ya spicer designs is so cool! I appreciate him giving me a shout out!
I own or should I say I owned both. I literally threw away the D1 Pro. It was the most inconsistent and glitchy machine. The wow factor wore off faster than a prom dress after 2 beers. I created so many new curse words that urban dictionary wanted to hire me full time. The love/hate relationship I had with the D1 Pro could put Hollywood on notice with all the nightmares and fairytales it created all on it's own. I had pretty much every accessory made for it. I am very meticulous with everything I own and or create. So I have hours, days, months and years using this machine and it always let me down. I had perfected jigs and layouts to get most my designs running flawless and then poof a little dark fairy would just throw every spell it could to cause absolute havoc. The straw that broke the camel's back was... just the day before I made a drinking Jenga set, all I did was load the new set of Jenga blocks into the jig and machine I just used 8 hours prior. I always double-triple check framing and placement before starting a job. I hit run the machine fired up started engraving I watched it to verify the correct starting point, everything looked perfect I turned around to work on a separate computer. 15 minutes pass by and I get up to check the progress and for some unknown reason the entire laser module was at least 1" off course and was engraving everywhere but where it was supposed to be. That day was when the short fuse was next to a bonfire. This Jenga set was the last one to be shipped out to a customer as a Christmas gift. I saw red and next thing you know I'm outside curb stomping this laser unrecognizable and threw it into the recycling bin. I never turned back to admire my destruction. I thought to myself I will never buy a "toy laser" from xTool again. Fast forward a couple weeks later I boought the 40watt S1. All I can say is this new machine BLOWS I MEAN IT ABSOLUTELY BLOWS the D1 Pro out of the water. The design, fit and finish shows how much xTool woke up and realized how much the D1 lacked in every area of a real laser machine. Yes I lost work area, yes I lost "portability" but this S1 is by far superior. The speed, accuracy and enclosure are absolutely game changing.
how can i connect via wifi. when i edit the template i only get USB connection option.
Are you talking about in Lightburn? If so you can not connect via wifi on Lightburn. You have to use XCS If you want to use wifi.
If I weren't already subscribed, I would definitely subscribe just because of that amazing infomercial!!!! You rock 😉
That’s so nice 🥹 thanks for your support!!
Congrats, keep up the great work,,,,,,,,,,Thank you for everything 🥰
Thank you very much and thanks for watching.
Thank you so much, you are awesome 🥰
creative intro I luvved it
Thanks I tried 😂
You did a great job! I can tell your newer at it BUT YOU DID GREAT. You'll get better the more practice you get / videos you post. At least your have to confidence to put yourself in front of the camera. I've not had the confidence to do that and many others I'm sure are the same! Just keep going! and use any haters as fuel to prove wrong and improve! And thank you I just started with my laser and some hats. The acrylic is a great idea!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
Also, just found you yesterday and have already watched several of your videos. Great job!
You can get LA’s Awesome at Home Depot also 🙂
Good to know!! I have always grabbed it at the dollar store since it's well you know a dollar haha 😄 but it's always good to have a back up plan. I am always been afraid that one day I will go Into the dollar store and they won't carry it any more so I buy 5 to 10 bottles everytime I need more. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!!
@@WyldeWillow I just picked it up yesterday and it was around $2.48, but they also have the gallon jugs for around $10ish
@@CharlotteSnyder still a good price. I would pay 10 dollars for a small bottle if I had too.
You're funny! I'm almost at 10K you will be there soon You're doing great content!
Thanks! 😊 how long did it take you to get 10k?
@@WyldeWillow Not there yet, almost I started posting videos regularly May 2022 and should hit 9K very soon. I did go from 4K to 8+ very fast. That happened in like 3 months. Regular posting helps and trying to have good content of course. One thing I do that probably hurts is I am really covering two subject knife sharpening & Laser engraving many would say that it should be two separate channels I have more Knife sharpening people but many of my laser companies I hear from like the fact I am in a niche that is unique from just crafters so it has worked well for me and it's been a nice addition to my sharpening business being able to do things like engraving knives and tools. Took me a bit to get my sound and video quality good in my shop environment. One thing I like about your content is you have had great quality from Day 1 when I look back at some of my early videos I cringe at the sound. I am planning to go back and reshoot some that the content is good but my production quality wasn't what it is today.
Love this video!!!
Thank you!
another great video. keep them coming.
Aw thanks so much!!
Great job. Loved the commercial. Your riser legs look like little buildings. You should lean into that and engrave more windows.
Thank you!
I could also put little tools or other small things I use for the rotary if I did windows. Great idea. Maybe even little laser cut people hanging out inside the windows haha
You get a sub for this!!
Woah!!! Love hearing that lol
Great video and editing. That intro had me sold. I actually called the number. Ended up being a hotline for helping cats with missing limbs.
💀🤣 you crack me up! Lmao
Awesome video and very informative 👍
Glad you liked it! Thanks!!
I have that tumbler jig too!
Its the best! Definitely a game changer!
Great job, your videos are fabulous. Just finished my enclosure my work area is 30x30 ao thw enclosure is giant!
Thanks!! What laser do you have? 30x30 is huge, I need a laser that big for my large signs.
@@WyldeWillow its all home built ,I changed the leadscrews to ball screws on my c NC router and just built a laser with the extra parts.
Love the intro ahahaha ultra max pro 😂
Hahaha thanks I didn't know if it was to ridiculous or not. Glad you liked it
I think that stacking system to elevate the machine is genious! The fact that the roll rotary and the chuck are different tools is excellent, I have the XTool rotary that has both in one and it is a lot of time what it takes to put one or the other it makes you feel like not experimenting with it.
Totally agree I never used the rollers because it was annoying to switch back and fourth. I will probably use the rollers more now that it's an easy switch
haha, awesome intro. I love it.
Thanks 😂 I have always wanted to do an infomercial !! lol
Love the name "Wylde Willow". super cool. Where did the name come from.
Thank you. It's my son and daughters name. Started the home business instead of getting a job so I could be home with them everyday. It a constant reminder of what's important and my motivation to keep working hard everyday.
@@WyldeWillow Oh thats awesome. Way to get out there and start making videos. I am not crazy about seeing myself on the screen and I've made a few but I'm about to launch my youtube channel . Very cool. Thanks for responding.
Awesome video. I got the samples from your last video. Also like your sweatshirt. I love 805 beer.
Thank you! I'm so glad you got some free samples as well!
Helping you get those hours. :)
Thank you!!! Seriously means the world to me!
Such a Bad ASS❤❤❤
Your the best sister, I love you!
I learned a few new things!
So glad!!
Do you have the link for the key sign svg?
No I dont i pulled images from a free image/svg website to create it all .
Congrats on 200 days. In July, I'll be 6 years sober and if I can do it... trust me. anyone can.
Thank you! & Good freaking job, that's a huge accomplishment!
osm
😂😂😂😂😂
This process explanation was very helpful, thank you!
You're very welcome!
So far, through trial and error, ive been able to successfully cut 3 mm black acrylic on my 20 watt. I think I ran it at 80 percent power, 5 passes, 100mm/min or less. I haven't tried a lot with it because I hate the smell of burnt plastic. As soon as i can set up a better enclosure and significantly reduce the odor, im going to try some more. Its great for cutting blanks to make molds out of.
Ya cutting molds with it is a great idea! & I 100% agree the smell is awful!
Great tutorial. I have been looking for someone doing the Rowmark material on diode. The other videos I have found are all co2 lasers. Do you think a 10 watt laser would be up to the task? i haven't done a lot with my laser yet and no acrylic cutting. I really want to try a project with one of the metallic on black materials.
Ya I think it could work, make sure you get black core because that will be easiest for you! The engraving will be easy but cutting will take a quite a few passes. I don't recommend cutting anything super small because of the amount of passes you will need to do, you might run into issues with melted edges. Let me know if you have anymore questions when you start!
Just a hint for tracing an image in Lightburn. Click the fade image button and it will make it easier to see your red trace line.
Oh sweet! Great tip! Thank you!
@@WyldeWillow you're welcome.
