Просмотров 381Месяц назад
After cancelling three camping trips in a row due to my mom passing away on July 29th, 2024 of cancer, it was nice to get back out there and enjoy camping again. I love sharing our experiences with you and Grundy Lake is a great park to spend time at. It's crazy how fast this summer has gone but we still have two more trips left as we will be heading to Killbear Provincial Park for 6 nights. Pl...

Camping At Bon Echo Provincial Park
Charleston PP is definitely on our list for 2025! Our favourite this year was at Restoule...absoultly loved it!
We had site 1420 and it was an amazing waterfront site. Had a little private beach. Your site looked amazing too - we have a smaller trailer too so much more choice for sites luckily.
I think even if you had a bad site at Killbear the camping would be amazing.
Another good video Frank, thanks for posting it.We were there last week oct 5-10,site 346.
How was the weather
Cool, some rain, windy sunday to thursday then it warmed up a bit,we left friday instead of sunday, had enough.
Just having fun
Been there. There’s one just south that’s better. But killbear is nice
What one is that
Awesome spot!
That looks so relaxing!
Would be nicer if the weather was better
Very nice padding
Thanks Frank, sorry to hear about your mother.Nice video. We'll be at sauble falls sept 15-20 and killbear oct 6-13,maybe i'll see you there.
Have fun
I will be in Killbear in a few weeks
Great video and music, keep up the good work,i am looking forward to more video's,thank you.
I see this video has been up for 2 years how is the cover holding up? Thank you in advance.
It has 2 little holes on the side,. One was caused by having it too tight against the bumper mot sure how I got the other but not even big enough to patch other than that it's been great.
Nice vid Frank,i might have to go and check out this park, looks good eh.
Another nice vid Frank,we are going there on august 5-12 2024,site 444,maybe see you there.
Nice video Frank, are there trails and how many campsites are there at Oastler Lake Park?
Another nice video,we are going to pog lake campground july 1st,first time at algonquin for us so thanks for the informative video, keep up the good work.
Thanks Dave have a great time
Nice to see some good places for the doggos! We personally like Pinery best ... the dog beach is better than the human beach! That said, Kilbear ranks a close second. We are trying Pancake Bay this year, and see how that works out.
What a sweetie bird
I haven't camped there since the 90's. The last time I camped at Windy Lake, about 4 years ago, I took the drive to Halfway but found it wasn't what I remembered. It seemed a lot more open then it used to be.
great video, thanks!
Thank you for watching it
thanks for your videos...we really appreciate them and were looking at some different parks as we havent been able to get into restoule yet so looking at this one as a possibility and we love kayaking so looks great...is there enough to do for a week...we are coming from oshawa so ab out 5 hours...what gas station did you stop at ?
Have you tried Mikesew, it's not far from Restoule and it's great park. We like to try new parks as well as our favorites. This year so far we are doing Arrowhead, Mew Lake, Murphy Point and I'm doing a solo trip to McRae
@@campkayakadventures Yes we discover mikisew 3 years ago and keep going back ! we are there for 10 nights in July. scored a great site. We have been to all the 3 you mentioned. Murphy was cool Wasn’t a huge fan of arrowhead contrary to opinion but it was rainy and horrible bugs so would like maybe to try again Mew we did years ago. can’t go wrong in algonquin
❤
Great memories in 2023 for sure!! All the best to more amazing adventures in 2024!! Bruce and Otis
Thanks
Looked like you had a great camping season! We are going to MacGregor in May 👍
It's a nice place, have fun
You really get around Frank, thanks for all the nice informative videos, really enjoy watching them, keep them coming with the nice music.5 stars.
Thanks 👍
Grew up visiting my aunt's cottage on Eagle Lake Rd, near the hockey camp...thanks for the trip down memory lane💜
We kayaked down to the hockey camp I'm sure you seen it on the video.
What a great area to explore! Can see a few touches of fall all around. Looks like it was a nice time to camp for some good peace and quiet! Great stuff!! Bruce and Otis
Thanks
Nice informative video, hope you get the Toyota fixed up,thanks for posting the video.
Thanks Dave for the support
Looks good, been there years ago,not a bad park, thanks for posting the video.
It was a quick video we really went there just to relax and never took much footage of the park
Love ur bon echo cap
Thanks, was wearing it at Bass Lake Provincial Park recently, and the park warden mentioned it as he used to work there. I find the parks sell quality hats. I have three of them and they are all good.
Thanks for watching my video and please subscribe and watch my others. I'd love to hear your comments about this park if you have been there.
I use the Ryobi. Part of my RV tool kit. Very convenient. 👍
Thanks for watching my video and it's a convenient tool to have.
Hope you get it sorted out soon!
I actually might have it fixed already in my driveway. I will drive it to work on Tuesday which is 130 km and see if I got it fixed
@@campkayakadventures good luck!
That’s rough.
Yeah definitely changed my plans
Surprised on the highlander, you didn’t change your coolant at 5 years I’m guessing
I need to talk to my mechanic. Lol
Going there this aug 7-14,site 3,west campground, usually go every year in august, small but well run park not far from the beach, falls, shopping, sauble north meats and more store. Thanks for posting your video Frank, enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching and have fun
I hope you enjoyed the park and had fun
I love the Callahan Auto parts shirt. Probably one of my all time favorite movies.
That's the first comment I got on the shirt lol
I love Halfway lake..I will be there this summer!!!!! Thanks for the great content!!!
Yes It's a great park and have fun
What a great area! Really enjoy our Provincial Parks for sure. Looks like some nice private sites too...wonderful! Bruce and Otis
Provincial Parks are great, well maintained and the staff could not be any better.
Great video! I ran into you both at the store parking lot on the Sunday and we had a quick chat after trying to beat the heat with some ice cream. Enjoy the rest of your camping season!
It was nice meeting you. It's not often we get recognized and it's amazing meeting people that enjoy our channel.
Nice video Frank,thanks for posting.
Thanks again Dave always nice getting your comments
I keep reading reviews of how loud the trains passing by are, do you recall if it was bad?
It's louder if you are near the beach or any camp site on that side. I have been there a few times and after you hear it a few times you don't notice it anymore
It “oh” “me” “me”
It's oh me me lol
No Frank noooooooooooooo!!! You said the site number that should never be said!😮😮😮
Lol sorry.
video looked great. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Nice informative video, nice music, thanks for posting.
Thanks
It sure has been a long time since my last visit to Algonquin...beautiful!! Bruce and Otis
Thanks
Enjoy your videos especially mentioning your thoughts on the park camp sites. Only one tiny tiny little bitty thing. CAN THE MUSIC
I actually get lots of compliments on the music.
Right, music is so annoying. Great video with natural sounds only imo 😊
We have that same sight in July. Did you drive in clockwise?
No I went counter clockwise but it was ok getting it in the spot but I could see it would be easier if I came in clockwise
@@campkayakadventures i think it is one way, but hoping to drive in
Geesh, the other way,
I don't think anyone would care if you went the wrong way
Looks like a nice park. Too bad the weather wasn't cooperating!
You kind of expect bad weather in May, it wasn't too bad we still had fun.
I subscribe your chenel
Thanks
