The full zip line experience and the climb down from the zip line terminus to the first repel station...unfortunately that was about the 4hr mark and the GoPro died. You'll get a great sense of what it was like though.

June 2012 we climbed the longest, tallest with the highest zip line Via Ferrata route in all of North America on Pico Independencia in Monterrey Mexico. It took us 5 hours car to car, we started with a 30' free climb, then the ladders, then the zip, then two repels down and hiked back to the parking lot. Imagine, that via ferrata route ruined a beautiful free climbing route called Arista Independencia. (Independence Edge).
I can't imagine free climbing that same route.

No shit it's not rock climbing. It's Via Ferratta. My buddy I led up this is not a climber. I am, and can certainly show you how to rock climb down here in Mexico. Also, obviously I did not put in the via ferratta. It was put in by the government of Nuevo Leon. Much like the via ferratas all over the Dolomites and other parts of Europe. It's a sport that is older than rock climbing.

Probably because he wanted to cover the more interesting land features. Nothing wrong with the plains but their isn't much geological diversity for vast swaths of that stretch of road. Just a guess...

I've driven everywhere east of the Mississippi River, but never have gotten far on the western side of it. I've flown out there many times, however. One of these days, I'll drive cross country. So far, my longest is Chicago to Philadelphia - Pennsylvania is beautiful

Nice video but be aware that we call timelapse from a car or other vehicles a "Drivelapse." Seriously that's the term.
I recently took a 5000 mile road trip from Minnesota to LA and back. Fun drive an beautiful scenery along the way. Driving is A way better experience than flying.
