I was super fat in early 20s too, but I don’t remember experiencing such mistreatment so often, even among peers. Girls usually were very friendly, guys loved me and many managers complemented my job (I worked in retail too). It definitely was worse on average, for example I was constantly friendzoned and some girls were too aggressive, but it happened mostly in middle-high school and after that 4-5 times before I lost weight in mid 20s.
