My twist on a delicious slow cooked apple butter with a deep rich flavor. Let’s take a trip back in time with these delicious recipes. I was a sophomore in high school around 1977 when my mama first made this chicken casserole and it was a staple in our house for years. She would serve a cold crisp pineapple salad as a side with the casserole. It’s a great chicken and stuffing bake that can really feed a crowd. We thoroughly enjoyed this meal today with my family.

My Grandparents who lived in NW Illinois corn country had several apple trees on their property and Grandma used to make apple butter every year. I sure do miss it, but thanks to you, it appears I might be able to come close to duplicating hers!

Yes! That’s another idea! I sold these 30 years ago for $15 each. That was when fabric and notions were cheap and plentiful. Today I would probably go $30 due to the cost of all the items you need. I use to get a lot of my craft supplies like baskets, garland, trims etc at Waccamaw or Williamsburg Pottery stores real cheap but they have all closed. Best prices are either Walmart or Amazon. I miss the Pottery!

9/23/24. Do you coat with any spray to help hold? If so, what product?
No I didn’t spray anything on the tree after completing. The pins did a great job holding it but I did hot glue on the really heavy pieces.
I love apple butter, and will have to try this crockpot recipe after I've used up the jar of pumpkin butter I bought at Trader Joe's.

The tote is 15 inches across the top of the bag and the base is 9” across. The height of the tote is 8 1/2 “.

Can you wash this bowl. Will the acrylic paint fade after washing? This bowl is beautiful! I’m excited to make one. ❤️
The acrylic paint will not wash out. However I do not recommend washing the bowl. It will soften and lose its shape. You can wipe with a damp cloth or better yet put a coat of Modge Podge sealer to protect the bowl. Hope your bowl turns out great! Be sure to check out my rope bowl play list!
