As for Jukhtak vank, it was damaged by landslides and the occasional vandalism. The numbers you see on walls are really used for restoration work. The bears in the area are quite timid and aren't known to be a serious danger, especially that time of the year.
Thanks for the info! We knew there was something to the numbers. Us Australians are scared of all types of bears 😅
@@thedeparturebrief well, in Armenia you should worry about flooding and landslides and earthquakes, and depending on the region - venomous snakes. Also falling off a cliff, that tends to happen once in a while. It's mostly safe here, except avoid wild hogs and domestic bulls, those things can kill you for just looking at them funny.
The construction on top of Cascade is the continuation. It was never finished, but now we have an architectural project to build those parts too. Welcome to Armenia, happy to have you here.

Was in Mostar pre-war 1991. Was told the monarch told the guy to build the bridge that would not collapse or he would be killed. This was back in 1550. The wooden supports were removed & the builder went into hiding … but it stood for 430 years until the idiots blew it up.

Hi mate, great vid. I’m flying to SE Asia for 12 weeks and wanted to take a carry on similar to yours, and also a 20L personal bag. What’s the cost if they charge you for the weight of the carry on etc / do you have any tips when it comes to choosing the flights / airlines. Thanks
Hi, thanks for your comment. Best thing to do is check the specific airlines luggage policy. Each one of them is slightly different. Remember you can wear your heaviest items if weight is an issue and you can carry laptops onto the plain without them being weighed. We always use Google Flights to find our flights. Try and book 3-6 months in advance.
