Some people say that using nitrogen to inflate your tires is better than using regular air. Do you agree with that statement? The first thing that came to my mind when I heard this was, where can you even find pure nitrogen? After all, the air we breathe already contains a lot of nitrogen-about 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and some other trace gases. So why are some people suggesting pure nitrogen? AIR IS 78% NITROGEN anyway. so claiming filling with Nitrogen is far better is a bit suspect. YOU CAN ONLY INCREASE IT BY 12% at the MOST. SO DOES THE 12% make any SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. Only to long term inflation because Nitrogen has bigger molecules than the other components of air.
