ちなみにこの日タイのバンコクでこの試合を見てましたが、日本が勝った瞬間ホテルのいろんな部屋で歓声が上がってました。そして、朝ラウンジに行くと他の外国の人から日本人かと聞かれ、そうだと言うと「congratulation！」と。その日、BBCではずっとこのニュースでした。

ラグビーを詳しく知ってる人達なんだと思う。 ラグビーは肉弾戦なのでまぐれ勝ちというのが極めて少ない。 日本はW杯に何度も挑戦したが一勝しただけの弱小。 世界一にもなった南アフリカの底力は海外でも知れ渡ってる。 両者は終盤まで互角の戦いを演じ 南アは勝つためにキックでポイントを重ねようとし、 真っ向勝負を観たい観衆が日本の応援に回った。 日本はスクラムでも負けていなかったが、 ミスを一度すると日本の負け、 我慢に我慢を重ねてトライと勝利をもぎ取った。 それがこのカタルシスだよ。
