(Preamble) Five thousand years ago in India; on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Two armies were ready with their might; for righteousness' sake Arjun had to fight. Despondent and full of grief was he; opposing friends and relatives, you see. Arjun, he could not decide right; then Lord Krishna showed him the light. (Āṛāūī) 0. Have no fear and fight, life's battles O Arjuna; so said Lord Krishna, to Arjun in the Gītā. Fight for justice and, fight for your dharma; so said Lord Krishna, to Arjun in the Gītā. 1. Action is greater than inaction, O brother; so said Lord Krishna, so said Lord Krishna. Face up to the cosmos, with unselfish desire; so said Lord Krishna, so said Lord Krishna. Work for the greater good & die for your dharma; so said Lord Krishna, to Arjun in the Gītā. 2. Forsake not your duty, and do not ever waver; so said Lord Krishna, so said Lord Krishna. Stand up for righteousness & defend your dharma; so said Lord Krishna so said Lord Krishna. A great crime it is not to fight for your dharma; so said Lord Krishna, to Arjun in the Gītā. 3. Cast aside all weakness & be a man O Arjuna; so said Lord Krishna, so said Lord Krishna. Be imbued with courage, and rise like a fire; so said Lord Krishna, so said Lord Krishna. Scorching all injustice, in the name of dharma; so said Lord Krishna, to Arjun in the Gītā. .

As sung by Kissoon D. Ramasar from Trinidad around 1973.Version 2: (Dohā) Rām ke kāj jāiye, taj bal buddhī nidhān; āsīs de surasā chale, harakh chale Hanumān. Go do the work of Ram, with your repository of strength & knowledge. The demoness gives her blessings, as Hanuman carries on joyfully. 0. (Refrain) Ai! Thanks for the lyrics. I think that I hear: "Your humble love & faithful ways" "I never could erase"
@@lorikeet.records Thanks for the corrections. I could not quite make out what was being sung, so I just used "repay" to rhyme with "way." But since I now clearly hear "ways" - it has to be "erase." Please forgive poor hearing and my incomplete knowlege of the Trinidadian English language. Please feel to make any more corrections that may be necessary. Muchas gracias una otra vez.
