It was. The main synth is a PPG Wave 2.2. I don't know if they used a preset or a patch they made. They also recorded the chords then chopped it to give it that effect.

Yeah, you can use any EQ and compressor to replace the virtual mix rack. For example, the equalizer API-550B from Waves to boost some freqs (just copy the values of freqs and +dB boosted from the video), and any compressor like CLA-76 from Waves (just copy the values of attack, release, ratio.. again)
