It took youtube a month to show this in my feed since you uploaded. Was a fun watch. I love seeing your systems.
Beautiful setup, just wish you had a Projector in the main room instead of a Tv.
It doubles as a gaming setup with my PC, and projectors aren't good with that. The G4 rivals if not surpasses most gaming monitors and it'll do 144hz with amazing picture and HDR.
@@jafo1701 Good point, have you considered a screen you can just retract for films,I honestly, couldn't come back from 110"+ projector screen
@@oioianon I'm happy with the setup as is right now. It's something I'd consider in the future should I decide for any further upgrades.
Every room filled with some good tech and provides a great experience, some better than others haha, amazing! Great way to get good use out of all of your equipment
Amazing man! Congrats for ur G4 83” Great tv!, whats ur thought on the tv? Is it sharp? Like in 4k and also in 720-1080p or there is a big amount of artifacts and pixelation? I want to buy one but this is one of the things that hesitates me! Especially when we are talking about big sizes 83+ & how the sharpnes & details is compared to ur previous G2 77 if im not wrong! & thank u for the video! Nice dog!😍🙌🏼
The big difference between the G2 and G4 is the brightness and performance in game mode. The G4 excels at gaming, and doesn't sacrifice any peak brightness in game mode. It also hits 144hz. I'd say both TVs are equally sharp can clear, but things pop more on the G4. Content that is not 4k, I think the processor does a good job at upscaling. 1080 P content on netflix and other streaming services look very clean. I don't recall seeing much artifacting and pixelizaton on the G4. Maybe in sports on youtube TV there is some artifacting, but that's 720P upscaled. Besides that the picture is really clean even at 720P. The G4 does a better job at processing and really haven't noticed any banding in darker scenes like I did with the G2. I would say that I won't be upgrading TVs for at least the 3 years maybe even more. Very happy with it, it fills my whole field of view from my sitting position. My only complaint is every now and then the sound just cuts out and I have to unplug the TV wait 60 seconds then plug it back in to get the sound back. It's happened twice since I've had it, probably some sort of software bug. Obviously all my audio is run through E-Arc and my Marantz AV 10 through my Home theater audio system, so maybe something happens with the communication, because if I switch to the internal speakers on the TV it works again...not a big issue and hasn't happened for a few months so maybe they patched it with one of the latest software updates.
@@jafo1701 Man! I cant thank u enough for these precise info! Thank u so much and i cant appreciate u enough! Very thankful to u fro telling me all these info! I cant wait to have this tv in my living room, unfortunately my country didnt have it yet, it doesnt even have the G3 yet!! Can u imagine lol!, i will be waiting. And sorry for the very late reply! I appreciate u! 🤝
damn this is beautiful, I don't have the space for it but that is the dream!
did the treatments inyour home office really help?
@JuanAlejandroT helped in both. Yes, it was really echoe in the room without any treatment. Also the bass was really boomy. Those corner bass traps tightened up the bass a bit. Plus the treatment brought out a bit more detail. It's only a soundbar so didn't go all out like I did in the theater room, but it did make a nice improvement.
I get the impression you like LG. 😊
@user-si1ik3ye4w i definitely considered the Samasung QD OLED but two years ago when I got my 77" G2 the biggest size they had was 65" and this year LG went 83" with the MLA panel and 144hz for gaming. Plus with my G2 dying LG did me right and gave me the full credit for the purchase of the TV to spend on any LG product. So obviously I was going to use their credit. I still have $2k in credit with LG.
shoutout from Brazil! super duper project you have going on!
over kill in that small room.
The room is actually pretty large and it's more about the sound quality. I've also have had the room completely acoustically treated with Panels from GIK. Upgraded to the 83" LG G4 and added a 3rd subwoofer to the rear of the room to cover a gap in bass response. In retrospect though I should have treated the room first, then maybe instead of the diamond series speakers upfront maybe just upgraded to 700 S3 speakers up front...would of saved me a lot of money and gotten 90% of the performance the diamond's get me.

You're spending money where it's needed and saving it where you can. Nice. I'm a Bowers fan with a pair of 702s2 for my mains and subs. A pair of 704s2 for the den. Great
You should get a wood fence six feet high protect your pets property
Big congratulations man! You have a nice setup. I'm day dreaming about that center channel. Not many people have a full theater setup like you do with a full 800 series bed layer. It looks really nice. Any upgrades you aiming for in the next 2 years?
I've done a few things since this video. I did a full acoustic treatment of the room. Got in touch with the guys at GIK, sent them my room dimensions and layout and they put together a plan. I also added a 3rd subwoofer to the rear and moved my atmos speakers. They are now all ceiling mounted speakers. As for what's next, maybe later this year Upgrade my 77" LGG2 to an 83" LGG4, however I'm leaning towards not doing it till 2025 as I'm pretty content with the G2. I also would like to eventually phase out my older B&W CDM 9NTs that I'm using as rear surrounds, to maybe a 705 S2s or S3s. However it might not be worth the cost just for rear surrounds, but would like everything on the base layer to be timbre matched as close as possible.
@@jafo1701 It might not be worth the cost to replace the rear with 700 series but it'd sure be fun. Yeah TVs are growing in size suddenly, I'd hold off for a year or so and see what happens. Also if you decided the miniLED were good enough for you, you can get 100" for only 4k usd atm. This year and next should break that barrier in quality/price/size. Man you gotta make a new video just showing off the cool stuff. It's fun to see even if you just call it an update video lol
Just came here to say that #tvistoohigh
It's fine. Looks higher then it actually is and most of the time I'm reclined in they seat, so the viewing angle works perfectly, even then it's not an issue.
Your subs are near the front of your speakers. Suggest moving your speakers further away from the wall or move the subs back so nothing in between the speakers. The depth and focused soundstage after moving furniture stands back, subs back and speaker from the wall nearly 4 foot or 1.25 meters from the wall was incredible depth and wider soundstage
They were moved to the corners on each wall a while ago. I measured them with REW and got the best bass response in the corner positions. I also had to add a 3rd sub to the rear of the room to fill in a null. The configuration of this room is not the best for bass response. I also treat the room with bass traps, acoustic panels and diffusors which helped a lot.
Really like the SS S6 stands, planning to get the same for my 805d4, are you using the top plate that came with the S6 stands or you upgraded to a bigger size? As the 6.2" inch top plate of the SS6 stands seems small for the 805d4 size. Thinking of going for the SS5 stands as they have a bigger Top plate which is 7.5" inches. I guess they give me blu tak for the stands too? Thanks.
I use the stock plate. Just put some Blue tac on the corners of the stand, center the speaker and it's solid. I've actually gotten the 804D4 since then, so I moved the 805s to the front wides. At some point in the future I'm going to get the 705S3 and put those as front wides. Then move the 805s to side surrounds since the front wides don't get much use...however as of now I want to keep the front soundstage matched as close as possible.
nice audio sistem , but why you didn,t use a projector '? with that great audio sistem it will be great have a projector with a 100 inch screen, is my honest opinion
Because it doubles as a gaming system for my PC. I need 4k 120fps and low input lag. HDR and picture is not ad good as OLED
Nice home cinema congratulations

Impressive set up man. I wish you had a bit of a deeper room and one away from outside sounds so that you could really appreciate the equipment you have. Are you overall happy with it? Would you add a projector/screen if you had the space on the wall? When you watch movies / sports etc, how many people do you usually have watching? what is your ultimate goal?
I'm really happy with it after the room treatment. You really can't hear much ambient noise from the outside especially in the evening hours, and that's when I watch most of my movies and shows. During the day you can hear stuff from outside, but I'm usually playing games or listening to music or weekends watching sports so it's not an issue. Right now I have no interest in a projector. I play a lot of video games on it and the projector can't match the performance of an OLED. I may go a bit bigger next time, However my next TV upgrade probably won't be till 2025. Pretty content with the 77" LG G2. Most of the time it's just myself, but at times I'll have the kids. We'll do some movie watching and play some games. I've pretty much met my goal on it. The system can do it all, and looks and sound great in every aspect. Whether if I just want to stream some high quality music or watch a movie with a better then theater experience. It also excels in gaming. On the weekends I can just sit down there all day and watch football and there is enough room to play with the dogs.
The puppy going to get hurt.
Man that’s a cute puppy…😂
Thanks proposing dog has no idea about those cats claws
Very funny
Best be careful...if that cat decided he'd had enough and locked on to that puppy...let's just agree the puppy wouldn't be too keen to pester the cat any more. Let alone the vet bills, LOL.
I love your cats and your dogs!!
Just watched a bunch of your videos!! Pretty cool how we got to see your upgrade process/path! Very helpful to someone starting from scratch!! Couple questions.. any way you could go back thru your vids and go over more detail about the sound and experience each time ya upgraded? For example, how much different was the overall after upgrading to those emotiva amps/ or the new FR/cr/lr? Also could you maybe make a video about how and why you choose those subs and ATMOS speakers? You’ve got lotsa cool stuff and would like to hear and learn what it sounds now Vs before all your upgrades. Even sound acoustics. Thank you and keep up the good work! 😊
I think I stated in some of the videos the level of improvement...It's hard to go back an think what was the best improvement. My advice treat your room first then upgrade equipment. I think there was a bigger improvement going to the 805s from the 703s, then going to the 804s from the 805s, but that was pre room treatment. Going to the 804s from 805s was initially disappointing. Sure there was an improvement, but not to the degree I thought there would be. However once I started getting the room treated the level of improvement was pretty big. The center channel was a big improvement over the previous one I had. Much wider sound field and clearer even before room treatment. As for the reason I went with the Emotiva amps, I wanted to use every channel available from my AV10 and I was a couple channels short. I saw good reviews on the Emotiva amps and decided rather then adding multichannel amp to add just what I needed. There was a level of improvement over the Monolith, but it wasn't drastic, more so in terms of music. I'll probably in the future add another one to power the center so I have a matching set up front...but honestly while watching movies or playing games you really can't tell the difference. The front 3 speakers are crossed over at 60hz so that extra 100 watts of power really isn't getting pushed. The emotiva's are more musical for sure then the Monolith, but for home theaters and gaming it's pretty close. Reason I chose the SVS subs was they reviewed very well. Going from the sunfire's to the two PB4000s was a big improvement, but adding the 3rd PC4000 to the rear made the biggest difference as it filled in the response dip I had. My room acoustically had some bad dips in sub response even with the two PB4000s up front. As for the atmos channels, when I lived in my condo I could only do height on wall speakers, those were the best options at the time, plus of course they reviewed well. So when moving to the new house and eventually switching to on ceiling, it was just more cost efficient to remount them and add another set on the ceiling then trying some custom in ceiling work. At some point I'll do a long video explaining my upgrade path and whey did what I did and what I learned, but my video editing skills aren't that great.
Brothah. I recomend you to use a projector . Then you,re home theater will be awesome. Cheers
I do a lot of gaming on it. 4k 120hz with VRR is a must. Plus projectors can't match the picture quality of an OLED. They also even at thousands more only reach maybe 600 nits. So I'm content with staying with OLEDs. I'll upgrade to an 83" in 2024 or 2025, but I'm pretty content as is.
I'm just wondering is your mean listening position equal distance from walls. The reason why I ask... how come you don't have your stereo speakers equal distance from there side walls. Cheers
The room is 20 ft deep. My seating Position is approximately 11 ft from the front speakers, 13 ft from the front wall.. The reason the front Left and rights aren't equal distance from the wall is that that would place one speaker too far away, as there is that alcove that goes into the stairway area....so sure if it was just for two channel music listening maybe it would work, but not for home theater, as the Left and rights would not be an equal distance from the center channel. I wanted to keep the main seating position centered with the center channel and close to an equal distance from the left and rights. I have since almost completely acoustically treated my room. I hit that alcove area hard with acoustic treatment, and treat all the other walls and ceilings. Will post a update video once the treatment is complete...still awaiting a few more panels to finish the treatment.
@@jafo1701 yeah man I get you, there's always compromises. You got a beautiful room with beautiful equipment. I can only imagine how it sounds. Bravo Not quite sure what cables you're running and looking at your setup I'm sure you know but if not here's a heads-up.. I thought my stereo pair of rel subwoofers sounded great but it was only when I took the punt and swapped my £45 audioquest black lab sub leads for the more expensive £200 chord shawline leads did I realise how good the subs were actually meant to sound. It was almost as if I was hearing the rel subs for the first time. Plus I like to add, even though I'm running a high-performance AVR with matching power amps, with the chord cables being shielded I was able to hear how much my noise floor had come down (background signal noise) actually I was so impressed with what shielding was able to accomplish, 90% of my cables are now shielded and the results speak for themselves. There are times my room sounds so quite I'm unable tell the difference whether my system is switched off or if it's switched on and usually when trying to work it out without lifting my head up. More often than not the system is on but actually its just on pause. It really is that quiet. But the astonishing thing I'm actually running 9 channels. Conclusion; If one would like to get rid of all that background signal noise, IMO shielding the cables is where it's at. And who thought cabling was all about the conductors 😄 If interested here's a short 3 minute video... ruclips.net/video/e-B3kjyLvwA/видео.html
Try with Sundown audio or JL audio for high bass performance
Those subwoofers he has are $3,000+ each, i think he's good lmao
Pup's learning about the phrase "herding cats"
Love your speakers and your room actually. Btw congrats on your matching centre channel. Even though I would love to mention it myself, I think it's only polite that I ask you. What do you feel is the weakest link 🤔
I would say the room treatment. I'll need to properly treat my room at some point. I'm actually in the process of doing it now. I've spent another $2k to treat my room. I did do the first stages on my own spent about $1k. Bought a bunch of Base traps in 4" and 6" however decided it's best to consult a professional. So I contacted GIK and gave them detailed info on my room and equipment. They gave me a detailed plan on treating my room. Where to move my existing treatment and what other panels to buy and placement. I ordered another $1k of treatment from them. I'll post another video as soon as I get the diffusors and base traps from GIK. I still have about another $2k to spend to completely treat my room and plan to have everything done within 6 months.
I hope that cat rips it up
There's no "vs" here. They are obviously friends. The cat's tail is straight up which means he's happy and enjoying this. His playful swats at the dog are very slow and I'm sure his claws are retracted. When a cat feels threatened by a dog, it goes into full beast mode, and the dog usually gets the crap kicked out of it. Cats are fearless and ferocious fighters with razor sharp claws and teeth. They can run 30 mph, jump 6-8 feet from a standing position and easily climb trees or fences. They'll take on bears and other large animals. Even if a cat loses a fight, if it manages to bite its opponent, the bites will usually become infected and often cause sepsis and death. There's a reason cats are the ultimate predator and have gotten the "9 lives" reputation. They're incredibly tough animals.
Exactly right. That cat isn't trying to defend itself, or this video would be a lot shorter.
The cat is not serious - it would really get nasty if the puppy hurt it.
Did the atmos speaker movement make much of a difference, curious as I have similar setup as your old positioning.
The main reason I did it is Dolby atmos doesn't support side height channels. So if I listed them as side height during atmos content they wouldn't get any use. I had to list my side height channels as top middle. You could tell at points the sound wasn't coming from directly up top as intended. There is a difference, but it's not a major one. If you can mount them on the ceiling as designed as I'd say do it. It's not that difficult to do.
Hi yours systum is very good please explain for atmos decoder is Marantz amp and using power amp also if yes please share some details
The preamp is a Marantz AV 10. I'm running 5 total amplifiers. Two mono block emotiva 300 watt amps power the left and right speakers. A 200 watt X3 amplifier powers the center and front wides. An OSD 125X5 amplifier powers 4 surrounds and 1 atmos channel and a 125x5 amp powers the remaining 5 atmos channels. The configuration is a 9.2.6. The front left and right speakers are B&W 804D4. The center is the HTM82D4. The front wides are 805D4s. The side surrounds are 703S2s. The back rear surrounds are CDM9NTs and the Atmos channels are SVS prime elevation. I have them configured with 2 front height, 2 top middle and 2 rear height. The 2 subwoofers are SVS PB4000s. I do plan on adding 1 more sub in the future. Probably the PB 16 ultra. also in the process of adding more room treatment.
Cat: get out of my way bitch!
How much Is this set up? How much power does it have?
I want to say around $50k...obviously some high value items that account for most of that. The five 800 series speakers account for most $30k in value. Then the Marantz AV10 costs $7k. As for power my Monolith amp which powers the center and wides is 200 x3. I'm running Emotiva XPA HC1s on the left and rights those are monoblock 300 watts. My surrounds are powered by an OSD 150 x5, one of those channels powers 1 atmos channel. And the 5 other atmos channels is powered by and old Adcom GFP 7605 which is 125 x 5.
@@jafo1701 nice setup and room Jafo - I'd love to listen to some good multi-channel SACDs on that system, many worse ways to spend $50k!
The herding instinct is strong in this one!
