Hi Rochelle :) The length of elastic depends a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using. The good news is that it is not strict how long should the elastic be, just as long as it fits comfortably around the girl᾿s waist - better to make it a little bigger than too small. The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (18 inches) (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). The width of the elastic I used was 0.6 cm (1/4 of an inch). Have a lovely creative day :)

Karla, thank you for your comment. :) Your "g" measurement should be 10 cm. For a 110 cm wide fabric, length of 120 cm should be enough (cut the two pieces for the top side by side and peplum out of the rest of the fabric). Have a lovely creative day ;)

Renee, thank you for your question. Both times I used straight stitch, however when sewing the elastic onto the skirt you can also use zig-zag stitch. Make sure you are using machine settings for stretchy fabric so that the seams will also be stretchy. Have a blessed creative day :)

hi! about how many yards did u use?
