ALAN HOWARTH - HALLOWEEN 4 OPENING (LaFONTAINE MERGE EDIT)
Просмотров 914 дней назад
A music video tribute/trailer/montage to one of the best Horror movies of the 80s. Taken from the Halloween 4 - The Return of Michael Myers OST and merged to remove any gaps between music cues and the trailer spiel plastered over it, as spoken by the legendary Don LaFontaine! Credits to: John Carpenter for "John Carpenter's Halloween" Rick Rosenthal for "Halloween II" Dwight H. Little for "Hall...
The Canterville Ghost: Ultimate Cut (1986) Dir. Paul Bogart

For the uninitiated, this is as complete a version of this movie as I am aware there can be, blending the US Cut with the extra scenes of the HTV Cut/UK Cut (about 4 minutes of extra footage missing from the US Cut). Inverting the source material of the last upload of this movie, I have predominately used the superior quality US Cut and integrated the extra UK elements into the edit, making for...

The Canterville Ghost (1986) Filming Locations - The Road to Canterville
Просмотров 627Год назад
An almost fully-comprehensive, retrospective, then-and-now comparison of the locations used in Paul Bogart's 1986 version (my favourite version) of the The Canterville Ghost. Also featuring some stats and a few bits of trivia. All dialogue was unscripted and unplanned, and I was mostly distracted by my surroundings so please excuse the incredible amount of "er"s, "um"s and "uh"s uttered in this...

Fusing the "Opening Theme", by Harold Faltermeyer, to the "Top Gun Anthem" by Harold Faltermeyer and Steve Stevens. Someone's probably already done this on RUclips, and done it better, I expect. But here it is anyway. All six minutes and twenty-three seconds of it...yippee!

The Canterville Ghost (1986) UK/US Integrated Cut
Просмотров 134 тыс.Год назад
Predominately the rarer UK VHS PAL cut, with the US cut opening integrated into the edit, and a scene-patch that corrects a PAL VHS version production fault. Probably the most A-typical version of Oscar Wilde's story but by far my favourite of the ones I have seen. And that's saying something because the legend that was Rik Mayall is in the Patrick Stewart one! I was really hoping that the exce...

This has a Charmed wibe really dark movie,Alyssa was cute as a kid.
I liked the version with Neve Campbell.
Great film. Terrific cast.
Thanks so much. The year I discovered music aged 11, my first time hearing dance music, memories of school dance, this, jack that house built, male stripper.....heralded the great 90s dance raves I would later attend.

MOoooo Ha Ha Ha aaaaaa,,,,,,,,
You guys know something? I am about halfway through this movie, I think, and I still don't like the stepmother. I saw this movie with my grandma when I was seven. Still don't care for her but the little girl is still an absolute doll and this is a classic for me.
The actors would have been FREEZING during this movie. It looks so cold for real.
It is possible that I saw that movie in french ? I remember seeing it long ago but it was in french, as I didn't knew english at the time. Just out of curiosity.
I think there is a French dubbed version here on RUclips somewhere.
Here it is : ruclips.net/video/pIVAhk91NVw/видео.html
Is that Kristy Macnichols
It's Alyssa Milano.
❤
No one has ever done this before, nice job. I first watched this movie when I was 12, the scenes that scared the shite out of me was when Sir Simon got interrupted by Jennifer and his head turned green and got bigger and bigger, other scene was the blood stain on the carpet and when Mrs Mumby was explaining about the curse of Sir Simon while showing the painting omg gave me chills, that painting reminded me of a really scary chewbacca or bigfoot. And Jennifer's scared face made me scared, also after she picked up the white feather, then noticed she was alone and said "DADDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" and ran up the stairs. Other time when Lucy looked in the mirror and saw an old woman starring back at her, also when they were approaching the castle and that haunted music with it.
Thanks for the compliments. I was 11 when I first saw it. The only bit that mildly creeped me out was the old woman reflection in Lucy's mirror. Probably because of the massive musical sting! 😆 I am very fond of this movie.
This movie inspired me to get a walkman lol
Porr Alyssa! So much light in her eyes then, now ripped away by Hollywood. The darkness has set in and we will never see that light again.
Thank you. That is all.
"... will put in central heating, the vents tastefully concealed..." If nothing else, this gives away an American, not having a clue of modern heating systems, like floor heating, for example. All in all, a most enjoyable story.
We didn't have floor heating in the 1980's.
@Andrea.S.Alvey12 You might not have had but the system goes back to ancient Rome.
I love how in this adaptation Sir Simon became a surrogate grandfather for Jenniffer and helped her to deal with her family conflicts (fear of losing her father and home and of forgetting her mother and not being liked by her boyfriend). Also letting him go to his rest by her own request, even with grieving his loss, also allowed her to finally make peace with her mother’s death. Of course Sir John was magnificent as always and this whole shooting was a master class for the rest of cast and crer. But the ability of young Alyssa to convey emotions even without speaking was also remarkable at her age. Her face at the final scene just broke my heart.
Thank you, I don’t think I’ve watched this in 30+ years 😊. Just as good as I remember it!
Better than the 1996 version. IMO.
Very poor copy. Barely watchable!
Until it gets a proper remastered release, this is about as good as the full cut is ever going to get.
How can a movie be made of this when half the cast is missing? Where are the boys that torment the ghost into depression?
I think if I read the story first I would have been very disappointed in this adaptation. But this was my very first encounter with the story and I actually do not really enjoy the twins characters in more faithful adaptations.
@@DrStef007 Did you read the book yet? I thought the twins were what made the book so good. The ghost got to the point where he was terrified of the twins and got so depressed and offended because he wasn't able to scare the family. It was really offended once when the father offered him oil for his rattling chains so that he wouldn't make so much noise at night. 😄
@@witchhazel4135 That does sound pretty funny, and I have seen other versions where the twins feature. But they usually come off as obnoxious. Not sure why this version stripped all that back. I think the Walkman scene was a nod to all that and Sir Simon getting a taste of his own medicine. This has a different mood, like a stripped-down "Beetlejuice". It is fun but ultimately quite melancholy and Alyssa Milano plays her last scene, in the graveyard, with surprising darkness.
Oh my God, now I know where Tim Burton got the idea for Beetlejuice. The couple with a daughter who rides her bike to school. The mother, who is the girls stepmother, and the dinner scene where the ghost scares the guests.
What a fun watch
I prefer the original story. It really can't be beaten. I do like John Gielgud, but apart from that, I wouldn't recommend this version at all.
Sorry you are mistaken. All versions after this one were shallow and not exciting. This version keeps the audience interested. As for Sir John G, he was a genius! The part was perfect for him.
@@aussiedownunder4186 that's just your opinion. We should agree to disagree
The 1944 version is much better.
;D Very enjoyable
The original Oscar Wilde`s novella is fun and ironic: it shows the difference beteween English and American culture and values. And it is real funny. Why this picture doesn´t respect the real story. as Wilde wrote it ? Any way, this picture is quiet good and Sir John Gielgud make it better!!!
I just love this movie, Sir John Gielgud is superb and funny!! And the music too!
Such a cool movie ,,,
This used to air on Australian TV every Easter Saturday at midday. Childhood memories...
When I was 12, this movie scared the hell out of me, everytime they showed that painting I had to close my eyes, reminded me of a dead chewbacca. And when that investigator summoned Sir Simon's wife and she kept on saying SI------Monnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, Si-monnnnnnnnnn. Terrifying.
Such a cool old movie. Oh how I miss these movies. My first but not last time to watch this movie.
Wonderful movie, thank you!🥰
I would like someone to follow Wilde's book closer. This is a great version though. The version with Patrick Stewart is great, too.
I knew it was different in the original now 9 cassette. I’ve always loved this version
Alls well that ends well right?
Great movie
The opening soundtrack was in Robin Hood love that

♥️THE BEST REMAKE♥️
how brilliant is Sir John how absoutely brilliant.
I remember when I first saw this one on TV and I had it taped and since then I watched it 2 or3 times after that I lost my version in a fire and this is the 1st time I've seen it in years
I taped it off of TV and watched it to death back in '87. Very cosy feel to this movie.
OMG Mr. Magoo is in it! I mean Sir John Gielgud. I bet he is the Ghost!
NOPE!!!!!
Hey,I'm watching this guy,the father in the train. He's acting in the series SOAP. I've just reached the part that he needs a kidney transplant and discovers, his uncle is actually his father. I can see this movie is going to be a perfect 10🥰💯🔥
This is a really good film to watch
