These came out delicious. I had salted butter, so I didn't use salt and only had rum, then vs. vanilla. I used a cookie cutter just for an indent in the center of the cookie for aesthetics, so i didn't push thru the entire cookie. And I don't like overly sweet desserts. These were so perfect, not that sweet at all. I am gonna make more and add these to the holidays. Thank u for sharing.

Taste great ... but I think I did something wrong as my cookies flattened out after it looked so fluffy... going to try again

MOLASSES!!! That's IT! I was trying to figure out how to get something into my oatmeal cookie to cut the sweetness, which can get kinda bland (not withstanding all the spices in this particular recipe) because there isn't any contrast. This should do it!
