Just read the article in the mail relating to Kyle walker, feel sorry for Lauryn in this instance. The idea that a man blames the woman's behaviour and using it as an excuse not to see kids is actually disgusting. Katie Hind should be ashamed writing articles like that, serves no one involved.

Let's be clear. A person who commits domestic abuse cannot be said to be a good parent. They may be able to show good aspects of parenting, and they may show love to their child, but the physical, emotional and psychological impact on the child can be either subtle or obvious. No excuses.

I agree with Lisa re her son needing to know his background because of his race - my partner is Danish & Trinidad Tobago so he is mixed race - I'm South African & British but fully white - my son is 13mo but when he is older, he will most certainly know of his heritage & background as well as all of the countries he is part of - I will tell him all about growing up in SA & his Dad will tell him about Denmark & TT - he may even get a chance to visit them; my son also has an Italian grandad (my Dad who adopted me) who adores him so he has family in Italy too - it is very important for children to know their identity from those close to them - I also agree that depriving grandparents of their grandchildren is extremely unfair - a lot of grandparents actually adopt their grandchildren if the mother doesn't want them - that's how much they want to be part of their lives & it is their right.

How are we glossing over the man in the final story grooming a 14 year old girl? He can't be said to be in a relationship with a child can he? And this person went and had more kids with him. I don't think criticising the other woman with the kids is the issue here really is it when someone is abusing and grooming young teenagers. Yet somehow this conversation still goes to blaming the mother. Bizarre. Want better for yourself and your children ladies, stop giving airtime to men who don't care about any of you or your children. That last story was so so concerning, safeguard all children. Also the start of the podcast was all about not blaming other women but then the end is about how women apparently stop men from seeing their kids. Ultimately it's the man who is being weak and lying and creating these situations. Not the women who temporarily or permanently believe the lies. I cannot ever ever ever imagine going back to a man who is essentially a child abuser. I'd be reporting him for being an illegal relationship with a child, not having another baby with him.

You are so right about the day coming when the child will want answers from the Dad. That's a normal thing for a child to question, and as a human being we are here once, so naturally we want to know who our father was. Raising awareness now so that maybe he will take notice is fine in my book.

I was the person who’s husband was having the affair. I never blamed the other woman. It was on him. When my ex actually married his affair I always said see our daughter on your own as well as with your new wife. My daughter is 39 now but once a year they have their father daughter day out. Least he listened on that
