this *is* actually practical, with a matrix display you wouldn't get these nice diagonal lines which help a lot with legibility

I love how even if you add 46 additional segments, it's still impossible to make an M or X. (Although you could've made an M or a checkmark if you used the diagonal on the bottom left and in the middle)
