Great ride. Since I've never ridden it, I was just wondering if the gravel is there year 'round, or is it just early spring?

I've been on the Cherohala in April in the cold fog. It really is scary trying to decide whether to ride fast enough to keep someone from hitting you on the back end or riding slow enough to see where you're going.

Beautiful! It appears that the Rattler is much better than the Devil's Triangle. I ride a 2018 Triumph Speedmaster, and I think this ride may be doable with fewer scrapes. The DT is definitely a no-no for me, but I sure did enjoy the video. I live in No. Georgia; have you considered the No. Georgia Gauntlet? That's on my list. I've ridden most of it a little at a time but not the whole thing at once.

"kiss the mirrors" and you will gain cornering clearance. You don't need to drag knee but need to shift body weight inside turn so the bike will straighten up a bit👍

I live in northeastern Tennessee. I have a database of about 90 fantastic rides in this area that I've put together. You can never go wrong riding in this part of the country. I've been to 49 states, and I have found this region of northeastern TN, northwestern NC, and southwestern VA to be the best I've ever had. My other two favorite riding places are the mountains of California where I used to live, and Utah. There is fantastic riding everywhere, though. That much is certain. Ride safe, ride well, and ride often!!
