In this video I install some ABS plastic honeycomb material into the grill opening of this 1959 GMC truck, a.k.a. "The Diry Gringo." The hood also gets some modifications. I still giggle when I hear these sounds. To those that drive the V6 Raptor, you need to have someone else rev the engine so you can stand behind it and hear how hilarious it sounds
One of these would be funny next to my Z! They sound kinda similar (I'm running an H pipe to reduce the trumpetyness). Kinda weird hearing these in public though. . . I listen expecting something like my little 2 door and see a 1/2 ton truck.

Thank you! That project is on hold right now. I got slammed last year with a lot of customer projects and haven’t had time to work on it.

Did the flag ever make contact with the front end?
It did a few times. The flag mount I was using was the u bolt style that clamps on to the front tow hook.

To be honest I think it sounds lame it takes away from how nice the truck is. I hate the BOV to atmosphere on the 3.5 EB reminds me of rice 100%. The turbo spool is a nice sound and it not as annoying as every time you let off the gas you hear the BOV. Your money your truck I wouldn't do it. My gen 3 will be in my driveway soon and no reason to make it sound like that. Boost tubes made my last 3.5 EB sound better with turbo spool.

They are just temporary for now. I believe they were 15” dia. X 10.5” wide. I’m not sure on the back spacing. The customer plans on going with some 20’s in the rear.
How did you change the color of your speedo gauges?
The gauge cluster changes colors and design depending on what drive mode the truck is in.
Everytime I see a fox with that hood.... Ughhh worst look ever.

I know this is an older video but im looking into trading my 22 ram trx for this same truck. Im torn if it’s a good decision. Worried it’s going to feel way under powered compared to my trx. Why did you go with a raptor over a trx. Thanks
I guess it all come down to personal preference. I've always been a Ford guy but I've owned trucks from all of the big three auto makers. They all had their issues... It seems like every mopar vehicle that I had always had electrical problems. Thats one of the reasons I passed on the TRX. The TRX is a bad a$$ truck and has a ton of power but I feel like the Raptor makes up for the lack of power elsewhere. The suspension on these trucks is amazing. Way more capable than what the average Joe can throw at it. The interior in the Raptor is better in my opinion as well. My truck has the Blue Recaros and they are awesome. They're very comfortable and the bolsters hold you in tight when things get crazy. I guess my opinion may be slightly biased since I own the Raptor but 450hp backed by a 10sp auto with 37's and 4:10 gearing is a blast to drive. The different drive modes, adjustable steering, shock settings, and exhaust can be tailored to your liking, all with buttons on the steering wheel! The different suspension settings are very noticeable, especially when off-roading. If possible, go test drive a Raptor 37. It'll give you an idea of what the Raptor is about on the street but where it really shines is off- road. Not sure if this helps you at all... Good luck on your decision! My truck has 9,000 trouble free miles to date, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Incorrect, the factory box flows incredibly well. I put s&b on all of my rigs accept the raptor and the bronco.
Agreed. Cold air intakes are the way to go. Even if the factory one flows well. If you want turbo noises, go CAI

I always do mig with shielding gas. I’m not a fan of flux core on sheet metal.
I didn't hear it. And not everyone wants to hear it. The other day a Turbo Diesel was going down the road and I could hear his turbos three car lengths ahead of me. I thought there was something wrong with it lol. Too loud on the turbos imo
I got mine a month ago, I like it way more than my 2022 diesel!!

That looks badass. Crazy to see what the Raptor is capable of. Going to do a Raptor run next weekend and this gave me more motivation.
First time I really pushed this thing! It took way more than I imagined…way more than my driving abilities. I could definitely see people getting in trouble though getting too comfortable. Have fun on the Raptor run, I’m sure it’ll be a blast!
