An early look at real time foam simulation in the water "system" developped for spellgazer. This isn't proper fluid simulation yet, instead it's something relatively simple : - The foam is contained in a niagara grid2d - Every frame a small amount of foam is injected into the grid from the watermap - Then the foam is displaced by resampling the grid with an offset determined by the flow vectors...

    it'd be nice to have this in sea of thieves, if rare could limit it to maybe 3 per server, or somehow fix the lag from all the crews doing quests at the same time. A more reasonable boat would be a rowboat looking ship, but maybe 2-3 times the length with a small triangular sail and one cannon up front. It could be barely faster than the sloop into the wind or just as fast, but slower with it. Instead of a wheel, it'd just be a stick attached to the rudder. There could even be two storage crates on the gunnels for all items so you can have cannonballs, chainshot, and throwables on one side and food, wood, and bait on the other. Definitely a solo only boat, and it's easy to hide on the backside of islands.

      there's unused concept art of a boat slightly larger than a rowboat with a balloon instead of a sail and a cannon on the back pointing behind the ship

      Also here’s why: can’t fit through anything, has the worst turning circle, will get destroyed by sloops as always and the only thing it will be useful for is ramming and cannons, oh and you won’t be able to chase anyone

      @@dawipeach8948 Well, one sloop being accidently on the side of this wont be there for long. It will just be gunned down. Its always this thing for bigger fighting-vehicles: The Bigger the more firepower but less movability.
