New player here... Just got the volatile magic gathering tools on sale a couples weeks ago and boy howdy am I glad I did. I enjoy gathering resources while I roam around and this increases the value of that activity by A LOT!

It sure is a huge quality of life improvement. On that rank its going high maybe even top3!

Good Pointers! I'll react to each one. Obsidian / Karma - Very true, a very good idea to save up on as you level. When it comes to gearing you can easily obtain ascended these days through wizards vault and other places like instanced content. No group will need to carry you because of your gear since IBS strikes only require about 15k DPS per person which is easily achieved by learning your build. New beginners should put more focus on that, and the currency they obtain through that lets them buy gear that lets them stat select, so no mismatched gear there :D Instant lvl80 boost - great item but as a beginner (especially brand new players) you run the risk of being overwhelmed by all the game mechanics. Sure it allows you to learn your class to a basic extent through cele gear and all. But it wont teach you the game which the levelling experience *somewhat* does xD Gathering Tools - Great convenience and gradual gold income if you pick a good rune, so its definitely something everyone should get eventually. But for that amount of gems, I would recommend beginners to go for other things first like material storage expander, shared inventory slots, unlimited salvage kits and such. It brings more value for a lot less gold/gems/money.

It's the legendary raid leg armour. It even has a animation embracing the tail going into combat. 11/10

That might be very correct! My source is gw2 wiki which showed pins on the map so got tricky at places like this. Thank you for bringing it up!

How to tell if my weapon is precursor?

@raptorhacker599 it says in the weapons description, something along the side " this weapon is used to craft the legendary weapon xxxx". If unsure, you can always gw2wiki its name to double check :)

Kinda why I like the OW armor, the precursor is an astral arcanum, one that can be bought 3 times each if you want all the weights

The cape is the only event exclusive, other than that is used for the dungeon unique armor and some runes still very much used *stares at superior Rune of the monk*
