So soo sooo true, I felt the exact same way. It felt so empty at half of the parts. Possessiveness is one thing but it would have been so good if Dominic just did selfless gestures, without forcing or putting forward any more choices in front of Alé. The most disappointing part for me was, the absence of soft vulnerability in Dominic. Like his words were emotional and filled with pain but his actions weren't and in a long run, it felt unsettling and not so trustworthy? Especially that there was not a significant and relevant breaking point, where Alé actually feels that yup, I guess we should back together. Not like how smoothly? Or like "just happened" way but more like, he is suffering without me, I am suffering without him, we need each other and we can actually work this out together. Also, I felt like Dominic's first reaction of Alé leaving the penthouse was written so well and that the reason why he signed the divorce, was well good, but could have more elaborate, more emotional. Throughout the whole separation part, I most often than not felt that Dominic is just used to Ana but not actually in love for more reasons than one. All in all it had so much potential, so much that it could have ripped our hearts out and cut it in pieces and put it back in our chest. Its actually sad. But yeah, it was a fine read.

omg, at first I read the title as "HOW this is romcom" and was waiting for a negative review for one of my favorite books (Hook, Line, and Sinker), and now I'm so glad that it's not it 😄 I've just recently discovered your channel and already devoured some videos, but this one is just a proof that out tastes are quite similar (cos omg if you'd only know how many negative reviews even just for this book in particular I've seen and how sad they made me feel...), and that I should stick around 😊

This is the issue i have with extreme horror as a genra. Ppl try to market their torture porn novels as “extreme horror” like no. This is just the most disgusting smut imaginable. Label it for what it is. Extreme horror is a valid genra. And it can be fantastic when it actually has something to say. But a book like “the slob”. No thats just someones fucked up sexual fantasy

Now, if Cressida changes in the next season or so, then meet a changed Lord Debling when he gets back from his travels...then maybe! I like his character very much. 08:48 Because he chooses to be. He is the second son (just as Eloise is the second daughter) and so is the "spare." He floats around trying to find something or someone to give him purpose, and he frightfully insecure about such even though he's clearly a very talented man. But he (like Eloise) has found a comfortable niche in his family dynamics, which does not really offer many chances to grow. Those two need to move seriously out of their comfort zones IMHO. (No surprise when you consider that Colin, Penelope, and Francesca are all thirds--third son, third daughter and third daughter)

I have only made it a bit through the video.. the comparisons that you’re making to hunger games and even the racial allegories.. you’re right, there is a vibe.. the thing is, it’s also extremely similar to the super successful Mistborn series, book 1’s concept.. powered vs un-powered, noble vs peasant, enforcer types, etc.. really similar.. ..I’m approaching “old” at this point in life, I’ve read SO many ‘generations of publishing trends’ over the years.. ..I have to say, that the use of some kind of trope or another, in these kinds of books, has gotten to the point of being far beyond ‘recycling’.. lol ..it’s hard to tell what’s a genuine trope or just a many times over nearly meta thing that’s been used so much it’s only referring back to the trope of the last 6 iterations of it, and the original meaning is totally lost.. It’s going to depend entirely on the author’s intent, the tone of the story and who it’s marketed FOR.. Sometimes, totally, yup, allegory to social issues, and sometimes, it’s just not that deep. It’s just a story dude.. lol Anything that is marketed or written for anyone under around 22 yrs old, can have that “outsider”, the “other” or “lesser” character type that’s ostracized or persecuted, because SO many kids feel like they’re ‘the other’, the one who doesn’t fit in. School can be absolute HELL for some people, or some may just have a rollercoaster experience with peer social interactions.. it’s difficult to learn how to navigate social dynamics outside the bubble of home or wherever your small fishbowl is.. ..it’s the basis of 90% of ‘Disney channel original movies’ for a reason 😂 Because nearly everyone can relate on some level.. Or, they’re a sociopath who likes to see people getting treated like crap 🤦‍♀️🙄.. lol I’ll stop prattling now, and watch the rest of the video 😁😁

Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong but I just did such a big deep dive into non catatonic mutism in schizophrenia and uh it's not very common apparently. Every article I read said it may have something to do culturally and that we need to look into the culture and religions of the people and their region because it can have an effect on it. SO because it is not very well studied atm and every article I read seems to be coming from very specific areas where very strict religious rules are in place, I do not think it was represented well. Have I read this book? No. BUT I'm also completely tired of authors giving their characters mental illnesses like psychopathy/anti social disorder (the new diagnosis for it) and schizophrenia when their characters are horrendous people. YES often times criminals and such have untreated mental illnesses but also a lot of the time they're just extremely mentally disturbed. We've already gone over this time and time again: stuff like this puts a bad rep to mental disorders and illnesses.
