Im getting my first progressive eyeglass this week none of these questions were ask by my optometrist. I’m worried now.

Got progressives for the first time, and the reading is blurry off to the sides only on the right. Is that PD? I'm holding my kindle straight center and words on the right side of the extreme right side of page are fuzzy :-(

Can the bridge of the nose can be made bigger if the glasses are a bit short on the bridge?

I think this only works if you have bog standard lenses I have varifocal thinner lenses and I've been trying for hours with no success 😭

Damm scary. This is like spray lens solution directly onto lens but worse 😂. Personally I just use spray and microfiber

I saw all the sunglasses hacks online and decided to try something different. Guess what it worked AWESOME!! So here is what I used ( Turtle Wax Car headlight Lens restore white compound works great. It comes in the box of headlight restore. I had some extra and said what the hell why not. I was going to spend $200 on new progressive lens replacement for my Oakley Fuel cell sunglasses. Holy smokes it took all the fine scratches out in minutes. Just apply, Rub in very well then wash with Joy warm soap and water and dry. Done saved me $200 worth a shot. Share the Karma Sunglasses companies will hate this post. Lol

I just bought a very hard plastic Prada frames. They are so uncomfortable both behind the ears and on my nose they’re leaving sores all over.

I broke my glasses bro😭😭

I just ordered a pair for reading/computer work. I also just got a pair of progressives which I'm on the fence about. If I've already decided I'm going to use readers, do progressives even serve much purpose? I'm perfectly happy to use two pairs of glasses for reading and distance. Should I ask them to switch it to single vision?

I just got my progressives from a common UK opticians and I’m so disappointed with them. I went for their most premium option and I can barely read in them. All I can see is about 2-3 inches of text in focus which is okay for quickly checking your phone but hopeless for anything else. I can ask for a refund and try somewhere else but they insist my expectations are unrealistic and that this is just the compromise you have to make. I now don’t know whether to just accept this is the best I can get or try elsewhere as everywhere else is at least twice the price!

For those who have glasses, you’re allowing water to sneak in through the cracks and that will in time turn to a green residue. Don’t do this.

I just bought pair of progressive lenses with the top tier lenses there were 4 to choose ftom I went all in with transitions with the Xtra and wow I'm sure glad I did I get absolutely no distortion on left or right there crystal clear with Oakley frame it helped my vision insurance covered about half of my cost

here in UAE i bought my progressive glasses at Rivoli & the brand is inext it's quite good

one thing I think *might* help in progressives is to fit progressive lenses on a frame the patient has already been wearing for a while and is already comfortable with.

I know you mean good never wash or put alcohol just clean glass cloth they come with. I use to wash and put alcohol it took the coding off the expensive glasses.

Hi mate, thank you for this video. I have read a lot online and there seems to be a lot of hate for progressive lenses which put me off so I have 2 pairs, 1 for reading and one for distance. It has been frustrating going between the two and I’m getting the benefits for either other than just reading or long distance. Inside either are no good. I think I will need to try progressives, things are blurry anyway with or without glasses. Thanks mate

I don't have these on my glasses.what to do?

I wonder why optician shops can't do this? They make you sign a waiver that, if they break your frames while putting in new lenses, they'll give you "50% off" of a new frame. They will inevitably "accidentally" break your old frames.

I got red marks on my nose bridge and now it feels so much better with manual adjustment thank you

thank you, my perscription lenses frame had snapped and I had a pair of sunglasses that were pretty similar! they popped in pretty easily after that

Can the nose pad area be adjusted on plastic frames that are all one piece?
