    I really liked your cartoon. Also I love hack videos. Videos that show multiple uses for one thing. Here is an idea for an outdoor kitchen. Simple and you probably have most of the stuff. Use an awning off of the side of your camper then hang tarps as needed. You can use cheap clothes line tip clamps to hang the tarps with and you can put up only as many as needed also can double as a mud room. If you don't like it, it is just an idea. Cheers,

    I used to have an awning on my first big rig trailer and they just don't survive! I staked it down as deep as possible with a cork screw RV anchor and a violent wind STILL pulled it out bending the metal awning itself... Almost killd me to when I went out to catch it flopping up and down in the wind on my trailer. They also don't block off the sun if the sun isn't directly above the awning. I frequently found myself chasing the shaded area a lot further away from my trailer in scorching hot summer heat. The fabrics are also known not to last very long. They do develop rips from weather wear and tare (especially with stray cats practicing their acrobatics...) Personally i wouldn't recommend it. Invest in an oversized Mexican party sombrero hat instead!!!

    Great info, I have an overlanding trailer. It is basically a 5 x 10 utility trailer with a ramp and a cage above with a roof top tent on it. I have been considerinug a small trailer too and our criteria's match almost exaclty with the exception of how to haul my quad. I like my roof top tent, but sometimes miss the comfort of hard walls. So far it is paid for and does the job, but I am always on the look for a small camper that I can pull with my Jeep Wrangler. Nice job on this video. Oh BTW Hello from Arizona.

    • @azxp
      @azxp 16 дней назад

      @@RunawayWithTaberland They are not hard to maintain, but they do take some research. Not all rooftop tents are the same. I actually chose a roam because of two reasons, one the fabric is more like canvas and it is also dark so in the morning it stays dark inside. It has plenty fo windows and skylights for more light if you want, but a lot of the other tents are a 600D ripstop. Which isn't bad but lets a lot of light in. The only maintanence is if you get stuck out in the rain, make sure when you get home to open them back up and let them dry well. Also being in Florida which I imagine is like Arizona sunny and hot you probably don't want to store it outside all summer that might be a deal breaker as they are kind of heavy to move around. Other than that I really do like it. It is kind of fun camping in a place where your rig is kind of rare. Click my avatar and check out my videos. I have an older roof top tent trailer you can check out to get and idea, but I don't have that one anymore. I actually have a new one and will have some new videos with the new trailer (with the new Roam tent) coming soon, so you might want to subscribe to my channel if that interests you. I know when I got my Runaway from the Oklahoma dealer, they work with Trailer Solutions for financing. After looking into it, they charged a $381 servicing fee and then with a 60 month repayment plan, I would have ended up paying close to $3K over the price of the camper. I'm all for financing, just make sure you know what you're getting into, as a $8K camper can turn into an $11K camper. And who knows, things may change over the years you're paying off that loan and you may regret the purchase. If you're on the fence and can't pay outright for a Runaway Camper, it might be best to look at used Runaway Camper sales--just my 2 cents :).
