Porcupine Tree - Sentimental [Anesthetize live]
Просмотров 330 тыс.12 лет назад
Porcupine Tree - Sentimental I never want to be old & I don't want dependents It's no fun to be told That you can't blame your parents anymore I'm finding it hard To hang from a star I don't want to be... Never want to be old Sullen & bored the kids stay & in this way wish away each day Stoned in the mall the kids play & in this way wish away each day I don't really know If I care what is norma...
I love it!🌺
Эта группа не для всех. Не для толпы. Уважаю тех людей, кто прочувствовал. Они будут любить её всегда.
3:50 Gavin's "oops" face :O
so deep
Those 8 individuals that gave this a thumbs down, must not feel like a regular person.
EPIC
So perfect, goddamn.
Cracking vocal harmonies on the choruses.
He sounds a bit like the guy from Talk Talk on this one
i LOVE how they incorporate the melody from Trains near the end! Never noticed it before. Wicked
A group of amazing musicains...thankyou for this

Whoever got that shot of Barbieri with the keys reflected in his glasses--god damn. That was intense.

Epic..
WOW, this is the first time I've heard this one and I can't seem to stop the tears from running down my face. Beautiful and emotive and those lyrics deeply sad but true. Seriously, is there anything Steven Wilson CAN'T do? Most underrated band of all time!!! If these guys were around in the 70s, we'd be asking "Pink who?"
I agree that Porcupine Tree is an underrated band, but without bands as Pink Floyd progressive music wouldn't be where it is now!
Very good point Jesper, I agree. Don't get me wrong, I totally love Floyd, worship them actually, and up until I started listening to PT, they were my favorite band. There's just something about PT that calls to me even more than Floyd, almost like Steven Wilson has created "my" music, the sound I've been looking for my entire life. I know I was exaggerating quite a bit in my comment above but it's just because I'd really love to see these guys get the recognition they deserve.
***** I am still trying to figure out if Gilmour is god or if Wilson is. If Wilson would play the guitar as Gilmour, he would definetely be god.
Marco Biasone, there are some songs that Wilson plays that are very Floydian. Check out some of his earlier works from the 90s like The Sky Moves Sideways or Voyage 34.
Yes, I have. I was refering to how well they play the guitar, not the style itself.
Amen
Stupenda .
Very good music + very good groove of Gavin Harrison , great drummer !
Bloody, fucking, utterly amazing drummer you mean.
Meu nome é Antonio, sou brasileiro e tenho acompanhado o som deles deste que tinha 30 anos, hoje estou com 52 anos e os caras estão cada vez melhores
Porcupine trees just simply insane Gavin harason One of my favorite Drummers
i hope i could still watch them performing live
awesome awesome awesome!!!!
No.
According to a tab I found it alternates between 9/8 and 15/16.
wrong, the whole song can easily be felt in 4/4. no need to overcomplicate. trust me, i'm a drummer
@@coastallights6939 In the intro there it switches once between 5 and 6
Hey! Whatta know another Yes lover! I've listened to these guys for about a month now. I'm most impressed with the backing vocal guys harmony. Wilson is good But the guy behind him makes it sound killer!! Cheerio!
it's 5/4. The 5/4 keysboard part in Yes' Long Distance Runaround is a good comparison.
Those lyrics... Story of my life.. I hate growing up... When around the age of 20-22 it just feels fucked up to suddenly face all these responsibilities and things such as work and bills...
I think so too.
I actually play by feel so odd time signatures kill me too. I believe it is 7/4 because when I count 5/4 in my head and listen I get lost. What I can say with certainty is the top number will be bigger than the bottom number. I have a link to send you but you can just punch in "7/4 time signature" and you'll find drummers playing it.
I think it's just 4/4 but sounds different because it's syncopated, but I'm not an expert.
I love Steven Wilson!
You really think the song can't get better and then that "Trains chord progression" kicks in... Holy fuck.
Extra ordinarymental
Extra ordinarymental
Cuz it is. The chorus, for an example. :D
Reminds me of Normal.
Seriously, after watching these live videos, I can't just listen to the song. They don't miss a beat. This is perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Steven Wilson!!!!!!! Every song I feel he has written to me!!!!!!!!
ha ha
I've seen them 7 times. They're amazing. Too bad it seems PT is dead now... :(
I'm from the future and I have some good news for you
Now I can die.
If his songs were people i would marry them all
Nah, marillion with hogarth can do it as well.
I've never seen them live...damn. Sounds terrific
right hand plays the chords in dotted eight notes which gives a rhythmical pattern that repeats every 3 bars. chords change every bar and everything is 4/4
Mortaaaaaaaal!
Man, that's like 'London'. It comes in Recordings II, it's the demo version of Don't hate me
great song and great live :)
Ακουστε το hate song και μετα σιωπη!!!

I just realized the connection between this song and "Normal"...
