@ 130k which was low for a Lexus. I think the LX is the best vehicle Lexus makes.

@@Piccolo_Re That's too bad! Wonder it was due to the fact that they just converted to the new engine (2GR-FE) that year (2007) and had some manufacturing issues.

I agreed with what you are saying my friend but unfortunately that’s not something I could fix myself and so had to get it done at the local Lexus dealer and of course they wanted to replace the whole thing. But yeah, I had that funny noise for a while so something was definitely wrong with it.

@ If ever you were to have more issues?(knock on wood) don’t let them scam you! as far as price is concerned, get a smart phone diagnostic tool ( there cheap ones out there that do the job and easy instructions) suggest that before taking your vehicle to have something repaired, first find out what is yourself research the cost of parts and or labor! that way you’ll make an informed decision! and dealerships will not try to sell you on replacing more components. those tools scan your whole system if and when found shows the codes of each potential failure, along with a simple explanation be it a simple ignition coil failure? or just misfire from a spark plug. Do yourself a favor and never go into any repair shop blind . Even in dealerships there are shady shenanigans going on. Be well.

Yeah, hopefully it’s well maintained! I would check if spark plugs, transmission oil, brakes and brake oil was replaced recently. That would help you budget upcoming maintenance you would need to be doing soon if you want to keep the car for long.

@@enesthemenace06not for nothing, but they are also on sale currently. I got a set of them for my accord, and it was like 415 out the door with instillation and everything.

If you have Walmart+, the hazard warranty is included in the $18/tire install charge. I maybe wouldn’t pay extra because the tires are so cheap already, and many other tire shops to nail repair for free.

@Octet So confusing. I went to Walmart to clear. They said I need to be a member to get the hazardous insurance at the time of happening only not installation. So I said, I will pay $40. Do I need to reschedule, he said no. They will charge at the installation time. To my surprise at they time of installation they didn't, as I got the excuse that I did it online. So I need to contact online support. While in the store, I called online support. They said, as it's already done they can't do it. I opened the ticket and they asked me to wait for 48 hrs, they will try to fix it. Still , they haven't. I didn't took membership though it's $49 now, but I don't shop at Walmart online, but Amazon or Costco. Now I am without it. Anyways, I will wait for their response. 2nd Walmart employees were so irresponsible, they said they aren't paid well, so we're ignorant to even attend properly. Even the Auto manager !! I complained, but they can only have complain about the system for improvement !! It happened to me before as well. Worst service.

@enesthemenace06 to be clear I had the rx 24 as a loaner. Had a nx for a couple years definitely not as comfortable. Also have a 6 year old kid additional space in the rx is noticeable

It’s butter smooth! I flushed the tranny oil at around 150K miles so hoping it will last forever
