Well, I first put it on, the saddles meaning the chromed parts rode too high in the channels and the strings would pull them off center. I bought new brass saddle inserts to raise the strings and thereby lower the saddles deeper into the channels on the bridge. Then, I still had problems with the intonation in the D and G strings so I had to get longer fillister head screws as the ones that came with the bridge were too short to adjust the intonation with my set up. The intonation now is better but resonates towards the sharps, though that might be a fault of having the strings so low. Depending on how you like your guitar set up, the Hipshot definitely offers the most flexibility and looks awesome on big bodied basses and the balance on the BB style guitars is amazing. I also had a Gotoh bridge installed on my BB 234 with a natural finish, you can see that guitar on the black Hipshot Tuners install video. The Gotoh is a no brainer install and perfect intonation, though even with that bridge, if you really need lower string height you'll need to get smaller saddles. Moral of this story is if you're going to modify your guitar, keep tinkering with it until it's absolutely perfect for you. Hipshot bridge is rock solid and I'm playing it maybe 4-5 hours weekly since the install.

Thank you for your comments! No idea where the manual is at right now. Any how, these are old speakers and could probably use new surrounds and would really benefit from audiophile grade caps. Sounds like you got a nice set up. I was using a Yamaha receiver on mine and vocals were astonishingly good.

Not overkill per se, rather redundancy. This is a fused system to prevent overloads, isolate usage to a specific set of accessories, and still provide functionality should there be a problem with a blown fuse or other mishap pertaining to an accessory.

You may or may not like the Zombie Box build. Since building these boxes more than 5 years ago, I've completely charged my thinking regarding battery boxes with internal batteries in lieu of distribution boxes able to attach to any 12v external battery....Thank you for watching and commenting!

Doubtful...

Put in on a window sill and give it sunlight for a day or so. Should show full charge. If not capacitor needs replacement. Super classy watch.

That's some pricey upgrades, I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks. The Gotoh is a decent bridge for around $35 bucks I paid; well made, great plating, no problem at all getting the intonation spot on. The Hipshot on my bb234 bass needed longer fillister head screws for the D & G strings among other tweaks. Recently though, been looking hard at the Indonesian Squires too. Thanks for watching!

Hello and thanks for watching. How low you can go depends on your style. Me I love to bang on those strings. The other thing is that the thickness of the this model Gotoh Bridge and the saddles really limits how low you can go. The TRBX174 has a really solid and stable neck...If you want to go really low, see a professional and get it setup exactly the way you want it and that may require some fret leveling etc.
