William Branham was a very gifted preacher. God used him mightily to preach the simple salvation message to the lost and to minister healing to the sick. He preached lots of outstanding sermons and ministered all around the world. He was a very humble man as well. As long as he stuck with simple gospel preaching and laying hands on the sick, his ministry was very successful. Unfortunately, he began to move toward a teaching ministry. This was not good, because he had a limited education and very weak background in theology. He read Larkin's teaching on "The 7 Church Ages" and he not only accepted the teaching as absolute fact, but he went back through history and assigned an "angel" (messenger) to each of Larkin's 7 Church Ages, insinuating that he, himself, was the Angel of the 7th Church age. One of his "angel" didn't live in the age Branham assigned him, and another only lived in the age assigned him for 6 years. Branham also taught the Serpent Seed . This teaching had been around for hundreds of years in different forms. It's a false teaching claiming that Eve's sin in the garden was that of having sexual intercourse with the Serpent. And then, as brother mentioned, Branham thought that both John Baptist and himself were the fulfillment of the return of the Spirit of Elijah. Please don't take my words as an attack on Brother Branham. I think he was greatly used of God, and I think he was very sincere. Unfortunately, he got into some error. That's true with many, many of the men of God who have gone before us.

It is astounding that even after Bill Paul's recent death, which was the conclusion of yet another "thus sayeth the Lord' unfulfilled prophecy these believers seem to be finding their way to reason away reality. It was so cringe-worthy to come across a RUclips video, of an eight-something Bill Paul--a man well into his senior years saying that he was not old, not as a quip against aging, but a shield against a failed Braham prophecy. In this video, he also referred to Joseph Branham when he said...he was privileged to know 2 prophets in his life". Since William Branham was supposedly the last prophet, it's clear that this statement is intended to perpetuate the Braham grift aka message lies
